RE: Complaint Challenging the Qualifications of Vernon Jones It therefore appears that Vernon Jones does not meet the constitutional and statutory requirements for seeking and holding the office of state Representative from the 94th district because: ( a ) Vernon Jones is not a resident of the district he seeks to represent, as required by O.C.G.A. 28-2-1(b); and ( b ) Vernon Jones will not have been a legal resident of the territory embraced within the 94th state House district for at least one (1) year immediately preceding the date of his election, November 6, 2012, as required by Article III, Section II, Paragraph III(b) of the Constitution of the State of Georgia and by O.C.G.A. 28-2-1(b). Accordingly, I challenge Vernon Jones qualifications to seek and hold the office of state Representative from the 94th district on each of these two separate grounds. I respectfully request that you notify Vernon Jones of this challenge and that you are requesting a hearing before a judge of the Office of State Administrative Hearings.

Sincerely,
