2528 - (Re: Schedule of Filing of Applications for & Schedule of 2012 Bar Examinations)
Acting on the Letter dated March 19, 2012 of Atty. Ma. Cristina B. Layusa, Deputy Clerk of Court and Bar Confidant, the Court Resolved to AUTHORIZE the:
(a) conduct of the 2012 Bar Examinations on October 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2012;
(b) holding of the said examinations at the University of SantoTomas, España, Manila;
(c) acceptance of the applications to take the 2012 Bar Examinations by the Office of the Bar Confidant starting June 1, 2012 and ending on July 15, 2012 without any extension; and
(d) negotiation by the Bar Confidant with the University of Santo Tomas for the use of the latter's campus and facilities for the subject Bar examinations.

Acting on the Memorandum dated March 5, 2012 of Associate Justice Martin S. Villarama, Jr., Chairperson, 2012 Bar Examinations, the Court resolves to NOTE the said memorandum and APPROVE, upon his recommendation, the proposal that the 2012 Bar Examinations be held at the University of Sto. Tomas, España Blvd., Manila on the four Sundays of October 2012, wilh the different examination dates being distributed as follows:
First day - Political and International Law (morning) and Labor and Social Legislation (afternoon);
Second day - Civil Law (morning) and Taxation (afternoon);
Third day - Mercantile Law (morning) and Criminal Law (afternoon);
(b) to APPROVE Justice Villarama's recommendation that in determining a candidate's general average.Fourth day . 10%. Labor and Social Legislation. Taxation. Criminal Law. 10%. 15%. Also. 15%.Remedial Law (morning) and Legal Ethics and Practical Exercises (afternoon). with each component having the said weights. 10%. the results in the examination be given the following relative weights: Political and International Law. . as part of the continuing reforms in the conduct of the Bar Examinations. Remedial Law. Mercantile Law. and (c) to DIRECT that the Practical Exercises portion of the last exam be in the form of a Trial Memorandum Writing Test. 20%. 15%.
