IT'S glamour in the drop-off zone as Queensland's yummy mummies show off their style.

Sporty mums, corporate, hippie and high-end couture mums are all turning heads at the school gate.

"Mothers are often so tied up with looking after the family and working that they don't have much time for themselves,'' stylist and mum Natja Gougoulas told The Sunday Mail.

"But it's great for the self-esteem to take 10 minutes in the morning to add a little bit of lip gloss and some mascara before taking the kids to school.

"A compliment from other mums can really make your day.

"Choose an outfit and accessories and leave them out the night before. A fantastic outfit for any day is a well- fitted pair of jeans and a crisp shirt, teamed with ballet pumps.

"Not everyone can handle Victoria Beckham heels but go for it if you can.''

Ms Gougoulas insisted that being comfortable and having good posture were the keys to looking good.

"Victoria Beckham might drop her children off to school in tightly-fitted pencil skirts and sky-high platforms but she looks comfortable,'' she said. "That high-end glamour may or may not work for you.''

Designer sports gear has become a firm favourite on the school run.

"We have come a long way from tracky dacks,'' Ms Gougoulas said.
