A vision is considered fundamental for helping a firm to visualize its future.the effort to produce stretigic change can never be succeded without a vision.Despite of such importance some visions are difficult to implement and remain as paper exercises.A Vision is an attmept to articulate what the desired future of compay look like,it streteches the imagination and motivate people to rethink what is possible.It has two fundamental elements,first one is concetual famework for understanding the organization,and second is emotional appeal which has motivational pull with which people can identify. A vision must be consistent with mission,strategy and philosophy.It is much more than and much less than these elements,indeed the true value of a vision is to guide behaviour. Good visions are Clear,concise,memorable,exciting,inspiring,challenging,stable but flexible,and more important implementable. Sometimes a vision can be captured by a salogan which can be risky due to shallowness of such salogneering,sometimes use of salogan symbolize and embody a vision of creativity and innovation.A salogan plays the role of vehicle of communiction and make the vision more insipirational . Employees of firm having strong vision feel proud that they are part of something larger then their career or family and creates a structural tension between today and tommorow which seeks a resolution. Vision staement tend to incorporate four elements cutomer oreintation,employee

focus,organizational competencies,standards of excellence.These elements helps the organization to do the right thing and specify the succes factors in satisfying the customers. The creation of vision in organization takes place in very different ways.some arevery personal experince of creativity and insipiration.the most typical are CEO/leader developed,(b) CEOsenior team developed and (c)bottom-up vision development. CEO leader developed vision are not purely solo endeavor,the impresion is tha the leaders all had compelling visions and dreams about their companies.Actualyy it is the process of searching


ideas,articulating the vision into easy to grasp philosphy,motivating eployees to embrace the vision through constant persuasion ,making contact with employees,arising unity ,tranlating the vision into reason for being of each employee ,concentrating on major strengths,measuring the ultimate success. It means that the leadership ths the Key.insipiring a shared vision is often listed as a key leadership success factor. Leader senior team visioning is described by Michael Blumenthal,CEO of Unisys. This approach it to building vision with senior mangment team,but there are many companies that do this in structured and systematic format by using inside and outside facilitators. Bottom-up visioning involves more bottom-up,or middle up involvment,it can done again

through formal channles or throgh informal influence processes.With this approach visions are only effective if they are meaningfull and motivtivating to those that have to implement them. At last people who are neither leader nor in the organization they can also participate as vision influencer rather then its driver. They can develop their own visions and can find occasions to discuss and gain support for it whether throgh formal meetings or through any other chances. Out of above approaches whichever is used certain steps must be taken into account which are vision must bedeemed strategically sound,it must be practical,reinforcable through words,symbols,and actions,and must have a clear vision.
