The Lake & Country Shopper - 2

From the Editor...
Recently I received a flyer from the “J (Rusty) Valentine Campaign” (for Live Oak County Sheriff), and it raises several questions in my mind. I would like to have answers to the following questions: 1) The flyer implies that one must have a Certified Peace Office License in order to be Sheriff. To the best of my own knowledge and research, this is not true. So, why is Valentine attacking Mr. Moore for being ineligible to hold such a license? Why not just attack him on the basis of his indictments? 2) Why does he believe that 33 years with the CCPD qualifies him to be Sheriff of Live Oak County? I am sure it would qualify him to be a Deputy, but I am more interested in a well-educated man with some modicum of law enforcement background than I am in someone with 33 years as a city cop. 3) How long has he lived in Live Oak County? 4) He states in his flyer, “I believe honesty and integrity are an absolute ‘must’ for the individual elected to this office entrusted with upholding the laws of our county, state and country.” This raises several questions in my mind: a) He never makes a case for his own honesty and integrity. Why not? b) He states explicitly that the Sheriff should uphold the laws of our county, state and country. This is not necessarily compatible with the oath of office required of an elected Sheriff. The oath is to support the Constitution of the United States and the Texas Constitution. If he is elected Sheriff, is he going to “go-along-to-getalong” with agents of the federal government invading the county for unconstitutional purposes, or, on the other hand, is he going to protect the people of Live Oak County from such invasions? An example of this might be USDA or FDA raiding farms for selling raw milk or dictating what we can or cannot eat, grow or sell. Another: The IRS confiscation of property. Another: The Federal Government taking property under the guise of eminent domain. Another: The Federal Government agents coming in to take away guns, ammo, silver, gold or other valuables under some Executive Order of the “Dictator.” Most importantly: If the “Dictator” should declare martial law throughout the country, whose side would he be on? The people of Live Oak County, or the Federal Government? 5) He repeatedly uses the term “the public.” What does he mean when he uses that term? I would hope that he means the residents of Live Oak County, but the term “the public” can be twisted to mean a lot of things, such as “the public good,” a term used often by left-wing politicians. I myself consider myself to be an individual, residing in Live Oak County, not a part of “the public.” In other words, I find the term “the public” to be borderline offensive. 6) a) I wonder if he knows who Richard Mack is? If so, does he know what his beliefs and accomplishments are? Does he believe as Sheriff Mack does about the role of a county Sheriff? OR, b)If he does not know who Sheriff Mack is, why, if he wants to be Sheriff, does he not know about him? Does it mean he is ignorant, or does it mean he thinks all of “the public” are ignorant? 7) How would his 33 years in the C.C. Police Department (or other work experience) qualify him to maintain “strong fiscal control over the resources allocated the department”, as stated in his flyer? 8) Would he support, unconditionally, the Second Amendment? How would he respond if the Federal Government passed stringent gun control laws in violation of the Second Amendment? 9) What is his educational background? The fact that he does not mention it in his flyer suggests to me that it is minimal, perhaps a year or two of college at most. I want a very intelligent and well-educated man as Live Oak County Sheriff. 10) There are many quite believable and credible sources who believe that our “Dictator” will declare martial law across the country over either the collapse of the dollar or some trumped-up contrived civil unrest of another cause before the November elections. Would Sheriff candidate Valentine obey the Federal Government, or would he protect us from this colossal invasion of our unalienable rights, in the name of “safety”? I am not sure I have ever thought for even one day that the Sheriff was there to ensure my safety. I think often that the Sheriff is there to preserve my liberty. For example, if someone tried to break into my house at 3am for the purpose of robbing, raping or killing me, any one of those events or all three would have happened long before a Deputy could get to my house. I am the only one who can defend myself in such a situation. I would have to be responsible for my safety. I am far more concerned about freedom, life, liberty and my rights to own property than I am in someone making such a claim as “safety of...the public...are my priorities.” Finally, I would like to ask questions number 3, 6, 8, 9 and 10 of all candidates for Sheriff of Live Oak County, including incumbent, Sheriff Larry Busby. I wonder if any of the candidates will reply in response to this. Mr. Moore and Mr. Valentine are welcome to respond now. I will print your answers verbatim. I realize that Sheriff Busby may not wish to respond or perhaps is prohibited from responding until after the primary, at which time we would welcome his answers also. On a completely different tack, a 73-year-old friend of mine who has not flown in an airplane in about 30 years, but had previously flown all over the world, has attempted to make a reservation to fly overseas. First she had to “psych” herself for the invasive TSA groping at the airport. Next, she had to provide for the airline practically her entire life history in order to book a flight. Then they said she had to get a passport before her flight could be confirmed. She began to apply for a passport and found that she had to have a longform embossed birth certificate in order to complete her passport application. She had to provide the names and birth places of both of her long-deceased parents. She is very white, blond and blue-eyed, very obviously of Anglo-Saxon descent. Not knowing where her father was born back there in 1906, she hoped her sister might know, and is hoping that information is correct. When she applied for her birth certificate, she was thanked for “taking it online.” Hmmm! Perhaps she could fly on Air Force One without that birth certificate and without anyone’s knowledge about her parentage? Finally, the Texas primary elections will be held on May 29. This is the most important primary election in any of our lifetimes. Please continue and read all the opinion pieces and, if possible, follow the links provided, so that you can make informed choices. If you want our “Dictator-in-Chief” and any other big statist politician out of office, which is paramount to our future, it is your duty to vote. . Traditional and Family Values
To The Editor: I am always confounded by conservatives who are constantly stating quite clearly that they support “traditional values” or, worse yet, “family values,” and will only support political candidates who openly state they will support whatever values those are. Usually the conservative definition of both those terms are “pro-life,” and “anti-gay” agendas. Those might be the “traditional values” of some certain segment of the population, such as Evangelicals, but it certainly is not the “traditional values” of all people or of all Americans or of all of any one group. Traditional values are those that are handed down from one generation to another, usually within a family or a culture or even a church. In my family of origin, traditional values were pretty much as follows: 1) Don’t take what is not yours to begin with. 2) Tell the truth 3) Go to school every day, no excuses unless you have fever. 4) Go to work every day (for the adults). 5) Respect everyone else’s property, including siblings. 6) Go to church every Sunday 7) At age 18, either leave home and support yourself or attend college and then leave home and support yourself. 8) Earn your own money and spend it wisely. With the possible exceptions of numbers six and seven above those are traditional values probably shared by most Americans. Other values more family oriented were: 1) Don’t have sex until you get married. 2) Be home by parent-imposed curfew time, for your own sake. 3) Always let someone in the family know where you are and who you are with, for everyone’s sake. 4) Marriage is for life unless one partner is unfaithful. 5) Stay in your room if you have a contagious illness. 6) Treat all adults with respect.

7) Help with the housework and yard work because you live here, not in exchange for money or an allowance. 8) You have to visit grandparents on holidays, like it or not. 9) Be home for dinner on time every night and sit at the table until you are excused. 10) Learn to do at least one thing really well. 11) Do the best you can at everything you do. 12) Play games and participate in sports to win, but be a good sport if you lose. 13) Girls must be twice as good at everything as boys in order to succeed in life. (Tacit, but still there.) 14) If you decide to attend a school dance, don’t tell the elders at church about it. Those traditional and family values served us all very well. We all became responsible, taxpaying adults, generally successful and respected by our peers. The next generation, now in their 30s and 40s, were brought up with the same kinds of values other than the now-deleted number 13. And by all accounts, the next generation, all under the age of 8 right now, seem to be inheriting those same values. Those are “traditional” and “family” values of traditional American people. Lagarto Community Club Awards Two Scholarships
LAGARTO – May 14 – Our last meeting (May 10th) before breaking for the summer was hosted by Peggy Barnett and Trish Arink. It had a May Day theme and got off to a start with a violin recital. Hats off to Lulu Hackfeld and her teacher, Penny Peavy, for a job well done. The members look forward to another appearance later in the year. Our scholarship winners were able to attend this meeting and from George West High we had Wesley Illey who plans to study computer science at Baylor. Madison Harlien from Orange Grove High was the other recipient and her interest is in veterinary medicine. Madison will attend Texas A&M in Kingsville. The drawing for our Mother’s Day Raffle was held by Linda Black with various members pulling the tickets. Winning the basket of Mary Kay Cosmetics was Debbie Baldez of Pernitas Point. The hand-crafted necklace went to Dottie Meyer of Lagarto; the $50 La Palmera Mall Gift Certificate was won by John Bedgood of Alice; and, Beverly Strong of Lagarto took the $25 Chili’s gift card.

The money from our raffles helps us in awarding scholarships to area students just as we did this month. Later in the year we will be having our “big” raffle which always has a hand-crafted quilt as one of the prizes. Chole Trevino has been hard at work for several weeks now getting the quilt top ready for the quilters. Our craft bazaar which is always held on the second Saturday in November brings in quite a bit of the money which helps us donate back into the community through various organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club in George West and the South Texas Children’s Home in Beeville. In May we always conduct the installation of new officers. This year our out-going President, Trish Arink, took the lead by swearing in Sharon Tonne as Treasurer, Dottie Meyer as Reporter and Cherie McGuire as President. The other two Board members had already left on summer vacation trips! Work continues on the outside of our building which is the Old Lagarto Schoolhouse. Peggy Barnett has been painting the trim and it is looking pretty good. Jessica Keese has been planting various items in our flower beds but the deer have been giving her some problems! Our door prize this month was won by Connie Reardon. It was a very nice necklace. And so, we adjourned for the summer. On Tuesdays we will continue our aerobic exercising and on Thursdays we will continue our workshops. If you have an interest in joining our little group, drop by for a visit. Check us out. We would love to have you. And, don’t forget that we have a small lending library. Or, if you want, you can buy a book or two. The price is right!

The Media Globalist Elite Candidate... Mitt Romney
In the upcoming Primary Election, you, whether Democrat or Republican, will have an opportunity to vote for the Republican candidate for President of the United States. The candidate promoted by the mainstream media, including Fox News, is Mitt Romney. These media ignore that there is another candidate still in the race: Ron Paul. They are calling Mitts as the “presumptive winner” of the Republican party. No doubt the Republican establishment and the RINOs want Mitt Romney. If the power elites cannot have their current puppet/stooge, Barrack Hussein Obama, they would like Mitt Romney, another puppet/stooge. Why is this? Because Mitt Romney will be pretty much like Obama. Think of Romney as “Obama Lite.” Here is a question to think about? What Presidential candidate will do or say anything to get elected? That’s easy, you may be thinking. That’s Obama. Think harder. It is also Romney. While it is imperative that Obama is voted out of office, a vote for Romney in the primaries is a vote for simply slowing down the growth towards bigger and bigger government, more statism, more government spending and federal debt. Romney is not only “Obama Lite,” but he is also a repeat of George Bush, and, in terms of the general election, he may be a repeat of McCain in his bid for the Presidency against Obama. A visit to the Romney campaign official website reveals that on the issues, he rambles on and on about what he would do regarding the various issues. It is boring, not easy to digest quickly and leaves one wondering just exactly where he stands on that issue. It is a rerun of Obama in the sense that one can easily come away still not knowing just exactly who Mitt Romney is. In contrast, a visit to the Ron Paul campaign official website reveals a point-by-point bulleted presentation, easy to read, easy to quickly digest, and revealing exactly where Ron Paul stands on each issue, with no equivocating or reliance on someone else’s beliefs. They are exactly the same stance he had five years ago, ten years ago, or twenty years ago, unwavering. Romney is a RINO, Ron Paul is a true conservative. Remember that the elite on the Republican National Commitee are essentially RINOs and have essentially the same goals as the Democratic National Committee. Romney has a sort of a “mixed bag” stance on the second amendment. He seems to support it, yet he has certain caveats, mostly born of general ignorance about guns. Ron Paul is a staunch, unqualified supporter of Second Amendment gun ownership rights. As I have been writing this, about one minute ago, on May 14, I received “breaking news” that Ron Paul will cease active campaigning because of lack of funds. It does not mean he will not be on the ballot or that his message will end. The mainstream media is behaving as though this is “the end” of Ron Paul as a candidate for the Republican nomination. Please consider the following in regards to donations to campaigns: Candidate Comparison: Top Contributors 2012 Cycle These tables list the top donors to these candidates in the 2012 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates. Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families). The organization may support one candidate, or hedge its bets by supporting multiple candidates. Statist “Conservative” A Review of “Afternoon Tea Republicans Lectures on the Basic Principals of Money” Sponsored by vs. Congressman Ron Paul Libertarian/Constitutionalist Parts II and III Republicans
Editor Note: This is a reprint of article by Farris West from the December 2010 issue of this publication, which I believe to be just as timely now as then. Many people describe American politics in terms of Democrat or Republican. If you look closely at what Democrats and traditional Republicans really are down underneath the rhetoric, both are pretty much the same. The chief difference is the Democratic philosophy is decidedly more socialist in nature. However, both parties, by their actions, seem to be in favor of big government, big spending, more government regulation and control and continuation of the income tax and property taxes. The difference is simply in the methods each party wishes to employ in order to gain the end. For example, among the traditional Republicans and the Democrats, both parties seem to believe that health insurance/health care needs to be reformed. They simply disagree on how it should be done. Neither party seems to believe that a true free market economy might take care of these issues. Another example is manipulation of the economy. Both parties seem to think the government can solve the economic problems. Neither party has ever considered that a true free market economy might work. Those who believe that the free market got us into this situation do not seem to understand that there has been no free market in our lifetimes unless you are well over a hundred years old. There have only existed various forms and degrees of government control. Neither party has the gumption to get rid of the I.R.S. or individual property taxes. Both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are statist in nature. They both subscribe to the idea that only government intervention and regulation can save us. Members of both parties seem to believe that their role is to make more and more laws that increase the servitude of the people to the government in the form of higher taxes, restrictive laws and inflation (the hidden taxation). Among Republicans, and perhaps a few Democrats, are the tea party advocates. Common themes among tea party advocates are lower taxes, less government and a more free market. However, there seem to be various “factions” within the tea party movement. There are those who still cling to social issues as being foremost in their minds. There are those who are very libertarian in their beliefs and there are those who wish to work with the current and half-dead Republican Party. What really seems to be going on in the Republican Party? The party leadership and the Old Guys still just want to continue as in the past, creating wars, spending money and simply doing everything the Democrats do but doing it slightly differently. The new voices of Republicans are much more libertarian in nature, far more Constitutionalist. These are the people who want a constitutional government, a government run by rule of law, and want the government to keep its paws off the economy, bailouts, higher taxes, more regulation, and wars against vague concepts such as terrorism and drugs. The libertarian Republican wants a true free market, repeal of the income tax, abolition of the Federal Reserve, repeal of the minimum wage and advocates many other free market solutions to today’s problems. Then there are those who are sort of the middle-of-the-road between traditional Republicans and libertarian Republicans. These are often the ones who agree with the idea of legislating their moral and religious values yet want the rest of the more libertarian ideas promoted in government. There are others who just want to stop big government and do not really have much, if any, idea how that can be done. What the Republican Party has failed to realize is that the “tea party movement” extends far beyond the people who actually show up for tea party events. There are people like me, and perhaps you, who are cheering in the background and showing up at the polls. Obviously the recent mid-term elections reflect this, yet the official Republican Party still seems reluctant to embrace the tea party ideas yet want to ride on its coattails. What does all this really mean? It seems to me that the Democrats and the “centrist” Republicans are pretty much on the same side - the statist side, the side that believes government can solve all our problems, and the tea partiers and libertarian Republicans are in favor of true freedom, liberty and pursuit of happiness. This is admittedly an oversimplification of the current political climate, but it seems important because if a more libertarian way of thinking does not prevail, we will see the end of America as we have always known it. Here are my simple -minded solutions for solving most of this country’s problems right now: 1) Abolish the Federal Reserve and return to a gold-andsilverbacked monetary system. 2) Abolish the minimum wage. The minimum wage is a reason why teenagers and old people cannot find jobs and is inflationary by its very nature. Let the market be the guide. Is some money better than no money? Of course it is. If someone can make $5 an hour and work 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, that is a great deal more than zero dollars. Why should someone with no skills earn only slightly less than someone with some real skills? Why should one be expected to pay someone $10 an hour to drive a lawn mower when, if the minimum wage were repealed, one could probably get someone to do that task for $5 an hour? Unskilled and semi-skilled workers seem to think they have a right to more money than their skills (or lack thereof) are worth. It is part of that “entitlement” mentality. High school dropouts seem to think they are somehow entitled to a minimum standard of living even they were unwilling to obtain education or skills. Additionally, repeal of the minimum wage would probably go a very long way towards curbing inflation. 3) Repeal the 17th Amendment regarding election of senators so that states are better able to See “Republicans” Continued on Page 4 “Governments have historically become involved in monetary questions; and the reason for that basically is redistribution of wealth. Whoever controls the substance and supply of money at the source can do a great deal of redistribution of wealth,” said Dr. Vieira after he was introduced. Dr. Vieira begins by stressing the importance of understanding the Constitution as originally intended. To understand the Constitution’s original intent, “one must put himself in the historical, political, legal, and linguistic context.” An interpretation of the Constitution today without these considerations would result in a completely different document. This is why some claim the Constitution is a living document, so that it may be manipulated. This couldn’t be further from the truth. During the late 18th century two forms of currency were circulating among the colonies. During this time most colonies did not claim the power to coin money, therefore the forms of currency were English money and foreign money. In 1707, a statute by Parliament established the Spanish milled dollar as the standard for all foreign currency. The Spanish milled dollar, as emphasized by Dr.Vieira, must be kept in mind due to the fact that the American dollar was based on this currency. A Spanish milled dollar consisted of eight reales and was commonly divided into eight wedges in which two pieces made a quarter, four pieces made a half, and so on. The Articles of Confederation (AOC) granted Congress the authority to coin money as well as regulate coinage from the States. The AOC also allowed Congress to emit bills of credit. These bills of credit were debt instruments used by the government as a means to raise armies for the War. The bills could be redeemed for State tax credit or the face value of the bill paid in gold or silver. The bills (Continentals) emitted by the Confederation Congress failed since Congress did not have the power to tax; therefore, the Continental did not have much creditability, which is what a bill of credit is. States were also issuing bills of credit alongside with Congress which led to hyperinflation. The paper money in circulation could not possibly be backed up by the treasuries. Hyperinflation and the absence of taxing powers by Congress resulted in the fall of the Continental along with the phrase, “Not worth a Continental.” The Confederation was falling apart and voices were heard calling for a more centralized government, so, in mid-1787 the Philadelphia Convention was held to amend the AOC. The AOC was removed and a whole new structure of government was put into place; a federal government with the power to lay and collect taxes. As Dr. Vieira points out: “This has always struck me as a fascinating thing, because It’s one of the few instances, maybe the only instance I know of in world history where the politicians who had made these blunders, turned around to themselves and said, ‘We made a mistake,’ and then corrected it.” Under the Constitution, States were no longer allowed to coin money, emit bills of credit and had to make all payments in gold and silver. One theory concerning the loss of State Sovereignty is proposed by Alfred Adask, a Sovereign Citizen whom 60 Minutes portrayed as an advocate of killing police, judges, and politicians. Adask endorses the theory that under Article 1 Section 10 Clause 1, States are no longer recognized as States because States must pay all debts in gold and silver; however, every State has been using Federal Reserve Notes as payment for debt rather than gold and silver. What we call States today, are nothing more than federal territories paying debt with debt instruments, according to Adask. Dr. Vieira goes on to explain that when any commercial transactions were to come to litigation, disputes would be heard in State Courts. There were no federal courts during the drafting of the Constitution. Now that the power to coin money was exclusively granted to Congress, an absolute gold and silver economy was to thrive. Included in Article 1Section 8 Clause 5 of the Constitution is that “The Congress shall have the power to coin money, regulate the value thereof and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measurements.” To regulate the value of money was simple arithmetic; if you have a unit of silver and another coin has twice as much silver, then the coin is worth two units of silver. It’s simple math. Since gold is more valuable than silver, then a gold coin that weighs twice as much as a silver coin is not double the value of the silver coin. Instead, depending on the market, one unit of gold may be worth ten units of silver (10:1). This is how Justice Blackstone explained how to regulate the value of money. If gold and silver is the currency, then what is the United States standard for gold and silver? The Constitution only mentions dollars two times and never defines what a dollar is. Remember, Vieira points out, to understand the Constitution you must place yourself in historical context; interpret the text as any one person would in the late 18th century. The Constitution does not define a dollar because the dollar under the AOC was the Spanish milled dollar, which was purposed by Thomas Jefferson. To define a dollar of the United States of America, Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton, two cabinet members who rarely agreed, sent merchants into the market place for a “statistical analysis.” The merchants were to collect Spanish dollars taken at tale, taken at sight. When coins got worn down from circulation, the money runs the risk of not being accepted, because a merchant could not tell what kind of coin he would be accepting. After the merchants collected a sufficient amount of samples, they melted the silver down then divided the weight of the silver by the number of samples and found that the average Spanish milled dollar in See “Money” Continued on Page 4

big bundlers. Please note that the Romney contributions came from the employees of the banksters, Wall Street, big banks, the “Elites” who want to run the country, the economy, the wars and who are in favor of global government, a “New World Order.” The largest Ron Paul contributions are from men and women intimately involved in the wars and who are “in the know” about what is really happening in the world, men and women who have taken the oath to support the Constitution of the United States of America. As a note here, Ron Paul simply does not have the money to continue his aggressive campaign. Romney does, as a result of donations from Wall Street. You can still vote for Ron Paul in the Republican Primary. Sure, Ron Paul may not get the nomination. The power elites of the RNC and the world have already decided that Romney gets the nod. However, a vote for Ron Paul in the primary is a vote for liberty, freedom and taking America back. It will give him at the very least an extremely important role in the Republican Convention in Tampa, may very well shape the future of the Republican party and could even win the nomination. As a final note, if Romney gets the Republican nomination, get behind him, because, in the end, anything -- absolutely anything -- is better than Obama. However, if Obama is reelected (and it’s hard to believe that many people are that ignorant and that much against America or that involved in sucking off the taxpayers), the good news is that the downfall of America will have happened on the Democrats’ watch, not on the Republicans’, and it would be a very long time before another Democrat was ever elected to public office on the federal level.

June 2012 “Republicans” Continued from Page 3 have representation. Our Constitution intended for the U. S. House to represent people and for the Senate to represent states. As it is now, the Senate represents people in a state, not the state itself. It is nothing more than another House of Representatives with fewer representatives. It takes away from the power of the individual states and subtracts from the power and usefulness of the Tenth Amendment. 4) Gradually raise the retirement age for social security benefits to age 75. 5) Consider only the blind, quadraplegics and the dying for disability payments from social security and phase it out. Again, it is not the responsibility of the federal government via the taxpayers to care for the disabled, and so many socalled “disabled” would be able to work if it were not for the minimum wage and were it not for lawyers making billions of dollars on disability lawsuits. 6) Abolish all other welfare programs, including aid for dependent children (TANF) and food stamps. Welfare simply creates a dependent people ready to embrace the serfdom and slavery the “one-world” advocates wish us to embrace. It does not decrease poverty. It encourages poverty. It rewards women who have little education and keep on having babies. They have made a business out of reproducing, and generally speaking they are creating yet another generation of welfare recipients. 7) Elminate gerrymandering of congressional districts, allowing people with common interests and close geographical location to elect a congressman who will represent those interests rather than gerrymandering districts to affect party affiliations and race or ethnic background. After all, if you live somewhere where you feel your interests are not represented, you can move (at least for now) to an area more amenable to your own desires and interests. 8) Eliminate farm subsidies and everthing associated with them. If there is no market for your crop, don’t grow it. Farming, just like any other form of self-employment, has risks, and market fluctuations are one of those risks. Food stamps and “hot lunches” for school kids are simply forms of farm subsidies. No where is there any evidence that school children should have “hot lunches” provided by the government. 9) Pay off the national debt with the paper money created by the Federal Reserve and return American to a gold standard. It is unconstitutional for the federal government to even acknowledge fiat money, much less back it because we “trust the government.” 10) Abolish the Department of Education. The federal government has no authority to control public education. 11) Abolish the Department of Homeland Security and all its bastard children. If people are afraid to fly in an airplane for fear of a terrorist on board, take a car, train or boat. If people need to travel often for business, why cannot they just use the internet? Why have modern technology and not use it? The scariest part of the new TSA airport screening devices, feeloffs and rules is that it is setting a precedent for restriction of all travel. What’s to keep the government from using the same form of screening for train travel and bus travel? What’s to keep them from screening people driving privately owned cars at various checkpoints? It sets a very dangerous precedent for KGB-like control over our freedom to travel. [This is being done now.] 12) Bring all the troops home from all over the world and increase America’s ability to defend the homeland through the military, with advanced missle defense systems and a miltary prepared to fight on our own soil if necessary. Stop “spreading democracy throughout the world.” Most of world does not know what to do with democracy, much less a democratic republic. America is a very unique country and always has been. It is the unique nature of the people of America who have made this country work. It is only the left-wing liberals and the power elite, ever seeking a one-world government or “New World Order,” who want to “spread democracy throughout the world.” Democracy is not for everyone, e.g., how can a democracy thrive in a country that stones women to death? 13) Government, at all levels, get out of our face! “Money” Continued from Page 3 circulation contained 371 ¼ grains of silver. The results of the analysis was implemented in the Coinage Act of 1792 defining an American dollar as a unit of silver containing 371 ¼ grains of silver. In the same act gold coins were given value in dollars and called eagles. Technically there is no such thing as a “gold dollar,” because a dollar is a silver unit containing 371 ¼ grains of silver. Now we have a set standard for American dollars and eagles. Although States were prohibited to coin money or emit bills of credit, nowhere in the Constitution does it restrict private entities to do the same. Private banks were allowed to issue their own notes; and were given the opportunity to compete in the market place. The credibility of the bank note, as any another IOU, is based on the ability to pay upon demand; in this case gold and/or silver. Having a competing currency puts a check on the government to artificially inflate its currency. “Unless the government has gold and silver mines, the government cannot easily redistribute wealth,” Vieira tells us. In the Coinage Act of 1792, Citizens were allowed to have their precious metals coined for free. You would have to wait for your gold or silver to be coined, however, if you did want to take your money immediately, you would have paid a premium to take it the same day. Around the 1830’s legislation was passed that set the ratio of gold-to-silver at 16:1. Vieira reveals an ulterior motive to the legislation, in that it was a means to put pressure on the Second Bank of the United States of America. In 1849 a gold dollar was coined, which distorted the definition of a dollar. Remember gold coins were called eagles that were denominated in dollars. The coining of a gold dollar led to the People interpreting a dollar based on gold rather than silver. This may seem a bit confusing; however, you must remember that a dollar is based on the unit of silver (371 ¼ grains), and the 1849 gold coin thereon represented a dollar, and silver was pushed to “the back of the bus.” As the Civil War ensued Lincoln proceeded to emit bills called Greenbacks because they were printed with green ink on the back to help combat counterfeiting. Merchants were forced to take the Greenbacks because they were legislated as legal tender in 1862. After the Civil War controversy arose when the Greenbacks were still in circulation. Many understood the necessity for the bills during the war; however the war was over, and many wanted a return to the gold standard. In 1866 the “gold-bugs” had finally won, and the Contraction Act of 1866 was passed and over one million Greenbacks were retired from circulation. By 1878, over 350 million Greenbacks to remained in circulation. It was not until the Panic of 1907 that the American People were fooled into the idea that the Country needed a new form of elastic currency to prevent any future catastrophes due to bank runs. The Federal Reserve Act was signed into law in 1913 and since then, a monopoly has been held by the Federal Reserve that is based on pure parlor trickery. In the third lecture, Peter Shciff, CEO of Euro Pacific, a precious metal investment company, explains to us how money causes economic crisis. Schiff tells us how only a free market without government intervention and blank checks can lead us to prosperity. Schiff begins his lecture by reminding us that the value of money will determine the amount of savings. Savings, rather than spending, is what creates an environment for a free market to thrive. Savings will grow a healthy economy because investments can be made with adequate capital and with as little risk as possible. A free market economy does not guarantee absolute safety from loses or catastrophe, rather a free market, which allows for negative consequences to be had, will lower the risk of such mal-investments. Savings will grow an economy due to the fact that business owners can be financed the proper capital to expand their business. A successful business will only expand when they feel comfortable with the environment government has created. If a business must pay more in taxes just to stay in business, do you really believe that that business will hire another employee to expand the business? No, what will happen is that that business owner will have to hire another employee just to handle all the payroll taxes. You will hear from the left that consumers are the job creators, not the rich. You’ll hear them say things such as: “Consumers are the ones spending the money therefore creating jobs.” What the left fails to realize is that consumers need money to spend and we get our money through working. Schiff makes it quite clear how a job must be productive. If there is no productivity, then there are no products to purchase which reduces the purchasing power of the currency. Think about, if we work to buy the things we want and need, yet there really was nothing to buy because nothing was produced; why anyone would want to work if there was nothing to buy? Schiff uses the example of the former Soviet Union where the country’s leader would boast that they had no unemployment. Everyone had a job because everyone was working for the government, yet you had to stand in a bread line for hours because nobody was baking bread. Just having a job is meaningless when the job is not productive. If one person has a job to dig a hole and another’s job is to fill it up, then what was produced? Do you see how just having a job is not the solution? “The slaves had jobs, and that didn’t work out too well for them,” Shiff explains. Capital makes workers productive by providing the tools and equipment involved in producing a product or service. And where does capital come from? It comes from savings. Another reason why savings are important is because savings set interest rates. The interest rate is determined by the amount of savings versus the amount of borrowers. Interest rates are the cost of borrowing money. It’s simply supply and demand where the savings is the supply and the demand is the borrowers. When there is an abundance of savings it sends a signal to the market that consumers prefer future consumption rather than current consumption. When this happens investments can made with adequate capital needed for businesses to be productive. This same signal will allow for prices to fall. When the supply (savings) increases faster than inflation, prices will begin to fall. Schiff explains this by what our par-

The Lake & Country Shopper - 4 ents and grandparents used to say about how cheap things were when they were growing up. However, if you were to talk to your great-grandparents or anyone before 1913, you would hear how expensive things were when they were growing up. That’s because prices were falling every year; the previous year saw higher prices than the following. “Prices went down for almost the entire history of the U.S. until the federal reserve.” When the supply is low than interest rates are high, which in turn discourages borrowing and encourages saving. This process will “create equilibrium between savings and debt.” Do you see the significance of savings in a healthy free market economy? The process will also lower risky investments by limiting credit to sound borrowers and ensure that investments will be made with adequate capital. Everything that Shiff laid out is how a healthy free-market economy should work, yet since 1913 the federal reserve has been manipulating the market by setting short-term loan (loans to banks) interest rates, which keeps all interest rates artificially low. The fed also has the power to print money by buying U.S. Treasuries. This stratagem sends the false signal that there is “plenty of money” leading to investment being made that shouldn’t have been made, creditors lending to people who shouldn’t be borrowing, and people having jobs that they shouldn’t have. This delusion is what leads to “bubbles” in the market place which are the booms that politicians love. But every bubble has to burst in order to correct the mistakes made with “cheap money.” When the real estate bubble busted, then President George W. Bush joked that Wall Street was drunk. However, Shiff posed the following questions: “Who got them drunk? Where did they get the alcohol?” Well the “alcohol” was the easy credit that was provided by good ol’, then chairman of the federal reserve, Allen Greenspan, by keeping interest rates low. These false signals are the cause of the business cycle. Many people believe the business cycle is a flaw in Capitalism, however, this could not be futher from the truth. During the boom of the business cycle plenty of people are “getting rich” and there are also many who have gotten in over their heads. When people are drunk they may do something that they later regret and these are the people who have made investments where they shouldn’t have. You see, bubbles are financed through debt, and when plenty of people make investments that shouldn’t have been made due to “easy credit;” what happens when these mal-investments fail? It creates a systemic threat that Goldman-Sachs cronies in government can and have used to threaten blood in the streets and martial law if the banks did not receive the bailout. Politicians love the boom because it allows them to stay in office and line their pockets. Constituents allow this because if they think they’re getting rich, they really won’t be upset paying higher taxes. Higher taxes mean more government spending; not to mention more debt because many ventures by Congress are not adequately financed simply by taxes alone. So, most politicians love the low interest rates and more expenditures all in the name of “for the people.” The politicians and Keynesian economists argue that it stimulus that grows an economy. You’ll hear them say, “The people aren’t spending enough so we need a stimulusprinting money- so the people can spend and help grow the economy.” Well, we’ve already established how printing money does not create value and if people are not spending money it’s because they do not have the money to spend. Creating money for People to spend when they aren’t spending lowers the value of the existing money in circulation. Whenever a stimulus is passed, it is based on debt; so how can the government spend money if the people don’t have money to spend. Remember, the government is the People and if the People are broke then the government is broke. This is why the boom is the problem and the only solution is the bust, the recession. Of course nobody likes to see anybody hurting; however it is the only solution. You’ll hear the ones calling for a stimulus labeling opponents as “sadistic” because they want people to go through the pain of bankruptcy. Schiff uses a great analogy of this by referring to substance abuse recovery and withdrawals. If you want to kick the drug habit, you can try doing so at a rehabilitation center. With hard narcotics such heroin, the patient is going to have withdrawals. This is part of the recovery process, the same way the recession is part of the recovery process. If the patient has withdrawals, the center does not give them the drug to stabilize the withdrawal symptoms. If this is the way to recovery, then why does our government persist on printing money to stimulate economy? The stimulus is the drug and Congress is the addict, so why self-medicate while doing nothing but enabling the problem? During a boom resources are misallocated and the market will fix the problem when allowed to do so, without government intervention and bailouts. Bankruptcies are painful but necessary for a free market economy because it goes to show how investments should be made wisely and not carelessly. When there are no consequences from mistakes, who is going to care about loses if the government is going to bail you out. When a bubble bursts and people lose jobs, it’s because those people shouldn’t have had those jobs in the first. If it was the right job for that person than the mistakes would have not been made and the company wouldn’t have failed and the investment would have been limited to failure. The illusion that stimulus is the solution to a recession is ludicrous when one understands how a strong free market economy works. Schiff has taught us that jobs must be productive, that job creators are not consumers-rather it is business owners who create jobs because People only work to earn money to buy things; and that while the federal reserve continues to set interest rates artificially low, we will never recover from the addiction of “cheap money” and debt increases, by ignoring the problem and self-medicating with the stimulus narcotic.

To Turn This Country Around...For Freedom and Liberty and the Constitution...For Your Future and The Future of Your Children and Grandchildren... Blue Republicans and Why Ron Paul Remains the Hope for the US's Future
Exclusive Interview From: The Daily Bell Robin Koerner on Blue Republicans and Why Ron Paul Remains the Hope for the US's Future Sunday, May 20, 2012 – with Anthony Wile 3900/Anthony-Wile-RobinKoerner-on Introduction: Robin Koerner is an influential political journalist who coined the term "Blue Republican." He also runs, a volunteer force some 400 strong that finds and translates news and views about the USA from all over the world. This interview was conducted prior to the announcement that Congressman and Presidential Candidate Ron Paul (whom Koerner backs) would not further contest various states in the Republican primary. However, Ron Paul has not given any indication he is actually dropping out of the race and Koerner's statements below thus stand as stated (unless Ron Paul issues further clarifications) without need of further clarification. Daily Bell: Give us some background on yourself. Robin Koerner: I am in my mid-30s and born in south of England. I studied physics and philosophy at Peterhouse, Cambridge University and have traveled quite extensively. I’m now a permanent resident of the USA (living in Seattle), with the intention of becoming a citizen. I am also the founder and publisher of Watching and probably best known in the USA today for coining the expression "Blue Republican" to refer to those former non-Republicans of more liberal sensibility who are switching to the Republican party specifically to support Ron Paul. Daily Bell: When did you decide to get involved as an alternative media political commentator? Robin Koerner: I have been writing on and off for a few years, after I founded, but was not very motivated because I didn't feel that my writing was making much of a difference... Then about a year ago I was invited to write on the Huffington Post and I thought that I should give writing a serious go to see if I could do any good. In particular, I thought HuffPo offered a great opportunity to provide an alternative account of US politics to liberals. I soon found that many thousands of people were following and sharing my articles. Feeling I was indeed making a useful contribution to the American political scene, I committed myself more firmly to writing, and I've been fortunate enough to have enjoyed significant success. Daily Bell: Why did you develop the Blue Republican nomenclature specifically? Robin Koerner: The reasons are in the article that set it off, called "If You Love Peace, Become a Blue Republican (Just for a Year)." Daily Bell: Is it a feasible idea? Robin Koerner: Yes. The free market of ideas decided within a few days that "Blue Republican" had legs. (The article was shared over 11,000 times within a couple of days on Facebook alone.) It seems that thousands of Americans have gotten the sense that Left and Right are equally responsible for the mess we're in and that the Democrats are not standing up for true liberal values (civil rights, peace over war, against crony-corporatism). They also feel that Obama has been Bush-plus in most of these areas, so there is great disappointment among some Democrats and Independents. I articulated that perception and gave it a name. And I provided a suggestion as to how to be true to liberal principles in the USA today – by supporting Ron Paul. The "Blue Republican" label gives a political identity to those who have never identified Republican but will put principle over party to support Paul. "Blue Republican" is almost at the status of a meme now, as a term used by various political media. That is the ultimate indicator of its feasibility. Special thanks to Zak Carter for helping us get media attention and to Israel Anderson for being the first to person to contact me (on the day my Blue Republican article came out) to identify that I probably had a political movement on my hands and for helping to make that so on Day 1! Daily Bell: More about what you think of Ron Paul … Robin Koerner: So much to say. So many of my articles on HuffPo and elsewhere cover this. Specifically, please see these articles (all of which can be found in my blog entries at • Ron Paul Can Win • "Blue Republicans": An Idea Whose Time Has Come • If You Love Peace, Become a "Blue Republican" (Just for a Year) • Ron Paul, Conservative Champion of Liberalism • Ron Paul and the Love Revolution of 2012 • A Legal Immigrant's Take on Illegal Immigration • "First Do No Harm": Constitutional and Conservative Daily Bell: Is Paul a consistent civil libertarian? Robin Koerner: There are some purist libertarians who might disagree on fine points but I would say that Paul is as consistent a civil libertarian as any active politician in either the USA or the UK, the country of my birth. So to all intents and purposes, yes he is. Daily Bell: What do you think of Rand Paul, his son? Robin Koerner: I like him a lot. He is perhaps more of a polished politician than his dad. More importantly, he has all the right views and principles of his father, as far as I can tell. I think many people have been delighted by his sometimes stand-alone vocal and active opposition to some of the most anti-civil-rights and anticonstitutional laws that Congress has tried to foist on us since his election as Kentucky senator. I hope Rand's star rises high and fast. Daily Bell: Will Paul win the election? If he does, it will be because of the paradigm shift that is underway in the USA. (See "Ron Paul Can Win" and “Paradigm Lost: Why the rEVOLution Has Not Been Televised.”) The more the GOP reacts with panic to Ron Paul's success, the more likely it looks. We're not at an even chance yet but his chances are increasing daily because of the zeitgeist of the country and the accumulated impact of the work of his supporters. The people who support Ron Paul are beyond a political movement now. They are more like a cultural phenomenon. If Paul wins the Republican nomination, he will almost certainly win the presidential election. If he gets that nomination, it will be because some non-linear change or unpredicted event that changes the political calculus that shows Romney for what he is, on the one hand, and Paul for what he is, on the other – in other words, it will be because of some creative chaos – and that is always very possible. Daily Bell: Is there a Democratic Republican dialectic? Are the Dems generally better than the Republicans? Robin Koerner: The most important thing to know is that the Dems and Repubs are the same where it matters (civil rights, war and peace, cronycorporatism, selling out to special interests). The interests of the two mainstream parties and their politicians mostly intersect, so I often refer often to the "Republicrats." It so happens that the momentum to get the country's political thinking out of the Republicrat box is inspired by a Republican, so for that reason alone, I say the Republicans are better right now than the Democrats. More generally, the pro-liberty movements is definitely reshaping the Republican party now from the inside. That movement has not begun in the Democratic party BUT I have recently been contacted by the campaign for a gentleman who is running for Congress as a Democrat, who also believes that we need a new, post-partisan paradigm that emphasizes many of the issues that we're emphasizing as Blue Republicans, and that Ron Paul emphasizes. I may well endorse him "officially." There is every possibility that Dems who wish to stay inside the Democratic Party will wake up to the message of Ron Paul – especially when they see that so many people who espouse liberal values are being lost to the liberty movement – which is currently associated with the Republican Party. Daily Bell: Why was Bush elected to second term?

Ron Paul Could Still Win Enough Delegates To Deny Mitt Romney The Republican Nomination

number have now started to do From: so.) Daily Bell: How would you Michael Synder The American Dream characterize his reign? Monday, May 7, 2012 Robin Koerner: "Reign"?! My gut tells me he was well meaning. But I think he was misguided. He contributed massively to turning a confident and admired nation into a scared and disliked one. We shall be paying for it for a long time unless we do something dramatic (like vote for Ron Paul in huge numbers). Daily Bell: Has Obama brought any hope and change? If not, why not? Robin Koerner: He has brought us the extension of the Patriot Act. He has brought us the National Defense Authorization Act. Obamacare was a huge opportunity missed, in my opinion, exposing the continued fettering of the government by large corporate interests... and I have huge issues with the constitutionality of it. (Of course, the Patriot Act and the NDAA are completely at odds with the Bill of Rights.) So while we can point to some things he deserves credit for, there's been no change in the areas in which I most hoped we would see change. Daily Bell: Was he steered the wrong way? Robin Koerner: Steered by whom? His advisors? He is responsible for picking them. Daily Bell: Is he a genuinely good man? Robin Koerner: I cannot say he is a bad man. And I can't say he is a better man than any other. But I've no reason to believe he is deliberately trying to do harm. I am always very wary of trying to pass moral judgment on those who say or do things one disagrees with. I suspect he is doing the best he can given his view of the world, and I think his view is deeply flawed – especially in the fact that he doesn't understand the Blue Republican message that traditionally progressive means have been shown in many cases to be hopeless at delivering on their stated goals and liberal intentions. Daily Bell: Is he American born and raised? Robin Koerner: I'm not much interested in the birther debate. I'll extend him the same courtesy I extend to anyone else I don't know and take him at his word in the absence of conclusive evidence. Daily Bell: Why has he blocked access to all or almost all of his personal records? Robin Koerner: I don't know enough about that to comment. Daily Bell: Whom does Obama really work for? Robin Koerner: What do you mean by "who" and "work for"? The US government writes his paycheck. Are you asking about his motivations? If so, see my earlier answer. Daily Bell: Does he work for the military-industrial comSee “Daily Bell” Continued on Page 11 Despite what you may have heard from the mainstream media, Mitt Romney does not have the Republican nomination locked up. In fact, he is rapidly losing delegates that almost everyone assumed that he already had in the bag. To understand why this is happening, you have to understand the delegate selection process. Each state has different rules for selecting delegates to the Republican national convention, and in many states the “voting” done by the public does not determine the allocation of delegates to particular candidates at all. And the truth is that delegates are the only thing that really matters in this race. In state after state, the Ron Paul campaign is focusing on the delegate selection process with laser-like precision, and it is paying off big time. At this point, there is still a legitimate chance that Ron Paul will be able to win enough delegates to deny Mitt Romney the nomination on the first ballot at the Republican national convention in Tampa. If Romney does not have the 1,144 delegates that he needs on the first ballot, then it becomes a brokered convention and anything becomes possible at that point. Sadly, most Americans have no idea how this process really works. For example, originally we were all told that Mitt Romney won Iowa. Then, later on we were told that a mistake was made and that Rick Santorum actually won Iowa. Well, it turns out that Ron Paul actually won 20 out of the 28 delegates in Iowa. That is because the process of actually selecting the delegates occurred long after the voting by the public was over. So what happens if the Ron Paul campaign is able to produce similar results in state after state? The Ron Paul campaign is very organized, very motivated and they understand the rules of the game. As a recent Politico article detailed, there are huge amounts of unbound delegates out there that are still up for grabs…. There are roughly 30 states and territories where delegates aren’t bound to a particular candidate. The majority of the other states, according to a number of party officials, call for delegates to be bound for a first round of balloting but not the ensuing rounds. “The dirty little secret is: At the end of the day, these guys and gals can vote any way they want,” said a Republican who has attended national conventions for decades. “Each state has different (laws) on pledged delegates.” In many states, the “official” results of voting done by the public mean next to nothing. The talking heads on television often tell us how many delegates are “projected” to go to a particular candidate, but as we have seen in Iowa and in so many other states, those “projections” are basically meaningless. A recent Salon article discussed how the delegate selection process really works and how the Ron Paul campaign is using these rules to shake up the game….

Robin Koerner: Short question with long and complicated answer. Suffice to say that Senator Kerry did not sufficiently inspire the country to transcend the fear that was driving (and absolutely continues to drive) American politics. We are living in a decade of the politics of fear. Bush had a strong hold of the old-style neocon, religious right base. Americans hadn't sufficiently tired of the wars and didn't understand the negative (i.e., dangerous) consequences of the Bush neocon foreign policy. Robin Koerner: Who knows? (Many still don't but a large

In many caucus states, the “official” results that most peo ple saw this winter were from nonbinding straw polls con ducted in conjunction with precinct-level caucuses. Bu when it comes to choosing na tional convention delegates, the real action is at district caucuses and state conventions. In the past, this distinction hasn’t mat tered much, but for the Pau forces – who lack the numbers to win statewide primaries bu have the devotion to pack any room, anywhere, at any time – it has offered an inviting loop hole. When turnout is small and no one is looking, the Paul folks can win, and that’s what’s been happening in a number o states. To Paul die-hards, this will al culminate in a surprise for the ages in Tampa, with the politi cal world suddenly realizing that Romney actually doesn’ have the 1,144 delegates needed to win the nomination, thereby allowing Paul to extract major concessions or even steal the nomination for himself. So could Ron Paul really deny Mitt Romney the Repub lican nomination? At this point, nobody really seems to know what the rea delegate count is. Websites such as The Rea 2012 Delegate Count are more accurate than most sources in the mainstream media, but even that site has been underestimating the true number of Ron Pau delegates. Right now, Mitt Romney is not anywhere close to having the number of delegates that he needs for the nomination and Ron Paul just keeps picking up more delegates with each pass ing week. For example, a Washington Post article that was posted on Sunday reported that Ron Pau just achieved a stunning dele gate victory in Nevada…. Despite former Massachu setts governor Mitt Romney’s overwhelming victory in the Nevada caucuses, Texas Rep Ron Paul has won a majority o the state’s delegates to the party’s national convention later this year in Tampa, Florida. Thanks to organized Pau supporters, who have been working to increase their candi date’s support at state conven tions around the country, 22 o the 25 Nevada delegates up for grabs will be Paul supporters (Another three are automatic delegates.) That was a state that Romney supposedly “won”. It looks like Romney has a real problem. In state after state, Ron Pau is gobbling up delegates. The following are quotes from a re cent Huffington Post article about what the Ron Paul cam paign has been able to achieve in the past few weeks…. -”Sure enough, Paul has al ready won 20 out of the 24 del egates allocated in Minnesota by winning a majority of the congressional district contests.” -”In Louisiana, Paulites “dominated” the congressiona district caucuses this past Saturday, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Paul’s supporters carried four of the state’s congressional districts and are guaranteed at least 17 o 46 delegates in the Bayou State with the potential to pick up more at the state convention on June 2.” -”The other state that Benton likely has his eye on is Col orado, where the Denver Pos reported in mid-April that Pau See “Paul” Continued on Page 7

Lulabelle’s Household Hints
items like a thermometer, not really expensive things. Be sure your pot is big enough. Maybe we could even give a basic class in Cheese Making. Just email me and as long as 5 people want to learn the basics I would love to share my knowledge with you. It will be lots of fun and won’t cost too much either. Gosh, I wish I could show you how I do this, but the best thing is to give you a recipe and maybe you will be very adventurous and try this on your on. Never let anything stand in your way....make cheese, people, make cheese! The following is a mozzarella recipe which is really easy to make. But I must admit that I went to a cheese class and that helped a lot. 30-minute mozzarella Cheese from scratch. The ingredients are: 1. 1½ level teaspoons citric acid dissolved in ½ cup cool water. 2. 1 gallon whole milk (either Raw milk or one that has not been ultra-pasteurized) 3. 1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon lipase powder, dissolved in 1/4 cup cool water and allowed to sit for 20 minutes, for a stronger flavor. 4. 1/4 teaspoon liquid rennet (or 1/4 rennet tablet) diluted in 1/4 cup cool un-chlorinated water. 5. 1 teaspoon cheese salt. Now for the instructions: 01. While stirring add the citric acid solution to the milk at 55̊F and mix thoroughly. (If using lipase, add it now). 02. Heat the milk to 90̊F, stirring constantly. Remove the pot from the heat and slowly stir in the diluted rennet with an up-and down motion for about 30 seconds. Cover the pot and leave undisturbed for 5 minutes. 03. Check the curd. It should look like custard, with a clear separation between the curd and the whey. If curd is soft or the whey is too milky, let set a few more minutes. Cut the curd with a knife that reaches all the way to the bottom of your pot. 04. Place the pot back on the stove and heat the curds to 110̊F, gently moving the curds around with your spoon. Remove from the heat and continue to stir slowly for 2 - 5 minutes, NOTE: stirring for 5 minutes will result in a firmer cheese. 05. Scoop out the curds with a slotted spoon and put into a 2-quart bowl. Press the curds gently with your hands, pouring off as much whey as possible. (Save your whey for other uses.) 06. Gently fold the cheese over and over as in kneading bread with your hand or a spoon. This distribute the heat evenly throughout the cheese, which will not stretch until it is too hot to touch at 145̊F. 07. Knead 2 more times. 08. Knead quickly until it is smooth and elastic. When the cheese stretches like taffy, it is done. If the curds break instead See “Lulabelle” Continued on Page 7

Well, ladies how are you doing? Seems to me like we need to do something besides cleaning all the time. Sure hope you agree. What you should do right now is get your favorite beverage of choice and prepare it for what will be most exciting today or later on. First I will be giving you some information so you will know I am not using a product that is not healthy for you. So, I am buying Raw Whole Milk. It comes from up by San Antonio, Texas. It is State of Texas approved and certified. I have been using this milk for about a year off and on and have not died yet. But now it will be available really close to all of us. It is not cheap, but good stuff is not cheap. Remember that you get what you pay for. You can email me here and I will get you in touch with the milk-man for you so you can connect when ready! Now why am I telling you about this milk man? Because I am going to tell you how to make cheese. Not just any cheese, but really great cheese. No it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. But I am making an investment in a wine cooler for aging some cheese (between $150 and $300, so be sure you can control the temperature make sure the wine cooler temperature can be adjusted). To start with the basics you only need a big pot, cheese cloth, and then a few more

The Dishonesty of the American Diabetic Association
What if you start a non-profit organization centered around a disease, obtained the support of drug companies, drug store chains, medical equipment manufacturers, processed food manufacturers and so-called “health care” professionals for funding and then created a way to keep the funding coming in year after year by proposing an unproven diet that make those who suffer from the disease dependent on drugs and medical devices for the rest of their lives? Furthermore, in conjunction with certain government agencies, your proposed diet caused millions of more people to suffer from the disease. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is just such an organization. It works like this: A patient, who is often obese, is diagnosed as having Type II diabetes. Immediately, the patient is told to take diabetes drugs such as metformin (oral) or insulin (by injection) or both. Usually, according to traditional medicine, such a person is also diagnosed with “high cholesterol” which is not a disease at all. They are told to take a statin drug to lower cho-

lesterol. The only cholesterol being lowered is bad cholesterol. The drug does not lower triglycerides or help raise good cholesterol. A diet promoted by the ADA is prescribed. The diet is not very much different from the diet promoted by the American Dietetic Association and the USDA, just lower in fats and carbohydrates. For the hugely obese who have had a life-time of poor eating habits, it may be possible to lose some weight on such a diet, but for most people, the diet will not help one lose weight and will not lower blood glucose levels without the addition of medications. So, here is how it works, a diet that “sounds good,” is acceptable to industrial food producers and whose efficacy is not backed by any scientific research is prescribed so that the patient must take diabetes drugs and constantly check blood sugar. The people who fund the ADA, in turn, make billions of dollars from the drugs and from the glucose strips (they give away the meters and then charge huge sums for the testing strips, similar to buying a cheap inkjet printer only to discover that the replacement inks cost even more than the printer), and in turn they pay off the ADA with generous funding to support this dietary program. With this regime, the disease continues to progress. The patient ends up wearing special shoes, paid for by either insurance or the taxpayer, both translating to you and me paying for the bad dietary advice and support of Big Pharma and processed food manufacturers. Here is an even better commentary on how this works, complements of Steve Cooksey, a Type II diabetic who was near death before he took his diet into his own hands: 1) ALL taxpayers “pay” for di-

abetic treatments that are reimbursed by Medicare/Medicaid. 2) Everyone that has private insurance helps pay for diabetic treatments. That is the nature of insurance, the costs are spread out over all of the insurance policyholders. ** Note : EVERY time the ADA or one of it’s Minions advises a Diabetic to eat high carb foods including sugar, the diabetic MUST “cover” it with drugs, insulin or both. When this happens … you the taxpayer and you the policyholder…pay a small portion of that….. nothing is FREE! The diabetic “pays” for this as well, not only with money but with damage to organs. The ADA actually promotes consumption of sugars and starchy foods. 3)Private and Public Insurances collected monies from the public. These monies end up padding the pockets of BIG PHARMA in the form of insurance payments for drugs and diabetic supplies. 4)Big Pharma dispenses their cash to the Medical Industry by funding ”studies”, scholarships, fellowships, partnerships etc. 5) Big Pharma also “pays off” or “contributes” to the American Diabetes Ass…. in 2008 they “contributed” $19+ million dollars to the ADA. Shouldn’t this be a conflict of interest???? 6)American Diabetes Ass. – to complete the Money Trail… the ADA continues to promote See “Crooks” Continued on Page 14

Bain Capital Owns Clear Channel (Romney Supported by Talk Show Sphere)
Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, etc. under umbrella company that candidate Mitt Romney headed.
Michael Snyder Activist Post January 13, 2012 Wouldn’t it be great if a Republican presidential candidate could just buy the support of just about every major conservative talk show host in America? Well, it may not be as far-fetched as you may think. Clear Channel owns more radio stations (850) than anyone else in the United States. They also own Premiere Radio Networks, the company that syndicates the radio shows of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck, among others. Needless to say, Clear Channel basically owns conservative talk radio in the United States. So who owns Clear Channel? Well, it turns out that Bain Capital is one of the primary owners of Clear Channel. Yes, you read that correctly. The company that Mitt Romney ran for so long is one of the “big bosses” over virtually all conservative talk radio in America. Of course Mitt Romney is not running Bain Capital anymore. He is a “retired partner”, but he still has a huge financial stake in Bain Capital. We’re talking about millions upon millions of dollars. If you doubt this, just check out page 34 of this public financial disclosure report. So if you have been wondering why so many conservative talk show hosts are being so incredibly kind to Mitt Romney, this just might be the answer. In the media world, there is a clear understanding that you simply do not bite the hand that feeds you. Some of the most prominent conservative talk radio hosts are earning tens of millions of dollars a year. If you were making tens of millions of dollars a year, wouldn’t you be very careful to avoid offending your boss? The deal in which Bain Capital became one of the owners of Clear Channel was initiated just a short time before Mitt Romney’s first run for president. The following comes from Wikipedia…. On November 16, 2006, Clear Channel announced plans to go private, being bought out by two private-equity firms, Thomas H. Lee Partners and Bain Capital Partners for $18.7 billion, which is just under a 10 percent premium above its closing price of $35.36 a share on November 16 (the deal values Clear Channel at $37.60 per share). The deal was finalized in 2008. Today, Bain Capital is still one of the primary owners of Clear Channel. One of the subsidiaries of Clear Channel is Premiere Radio Networks. Premiere Radio Networks distributes a whole host of conservative talk radio shows. Everyone in the conservative world knows names such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. Clear Channel also controls some other conservative talk radio hosts (such as Michael Savage and Mark Levin) that are not part of the Premiere Radio family. The power that Premiere Radio Networks has is absolutely staggering. The following is directly from the official Clear Channel website…. Premiere Radio Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications, syndicates 90 radio programs and services to more than 5,000 radio affiliations and reaches over 190 million listeners weekly. Premiere Radio is the number one radio network in the country and features the following personalities: Rush Limbaugh, Jim Rome, Casey Kasem, Ryan Seacrest, Glenn Beck, Bob (Kevoian) & Tom (Griswold), Delilah, Steve Harvey, Blair Garner, George Noory, John Boy and Billy, Big Tigger, Dr. Dean Edell, Bob Costas, Sean Hannity and others. Premiere is based in Sherman Oaks, California, with 13 offices nationwide. So do you think that any of those hosts is going to risk viciously attacking Mitt Romney and Bain Capital during this election season? Not likely. One of the controversies that has plagued Premiere Radio Networks in recent years has been the uproar over their use of paid actors to call in to their radio shows. The following comes from Wikipedia…. Clear Channel, through its subsidiary, Premiere Radio Networks, auditions and hires actors to call in to talk radio shows and pose as listeners in order to provide shows, carried by Clear Channel and other broadcasters, with planned content in the form of stories and opinions. The custom caller service provided by Premiere Radio ensures its clients they won’t hear the same actor’s voice for at least two months in order to appear authentic to listeners who might otherwise catch on. So perhaps that explains where some of the “Romney callers” come from. There is nothing illegal about what Romney and Bain Capital have done, but it sure does not pass the “smell test”. Conservative talk radio has the potential to sway millions of conservative voters in one direction or another, and it is just not proper for Bain Capital and Romney to have such an overpowering financial interest in conservative talk radio. And, yes, Mitt Romney is still bringing in lots of money from Bain Capital. The following comes from a Wikipedia article about Mitt Romney…. At the time of his departure, Romney negotiated an agreement with Bain Capital that allowed him to receive a passive profit share as a retired partner in some Bain Capital entities, including buyout and investment funds.[62][57] With the private equity business continuing to thrive, this deal would bring him millions of dollars in income each year.[57] As a result of his business career, by 2007 Romney and his wife had a net worth of between $190 and $250 million, most of it held in blind trusts.[62] An additional blind trust existed in the name of the Romneys’ children and grandchildren that was valued at between $70 and $100 million as of 2007.[63] The couple’s net worth remained in the same range as of 2011, and was still held in blind trusts. In addition, Bain Capital and Bain & Company continue to pour huge amounts of money

Then add beef broth. 4) Reduce heat to simmer and cook until sauce is greatly reduced. Add parsley, salt and pepper to taste. 5) Take a pinch of the glucomannen flour and sprinkle over sauce by rubbing between thumb and index finger. Stir. Turn off heat as soon as thickened. June2012 “Paul” Continued from Page 5 able to support Ron Paul. In fact, Ronald Reagan considered using this tactic against Gerald Ford in 1976. The following is from a 1976 article entitled“Reagan Forces May ‘Steal’ Ford Votes”…. “In secret strategy sessions, Reagan aides have toyed with the idea of asking delegates to abstain as long as their state laws require them to honor the primary verdicts. This would prevent the President from riding up an earlyballot victory. Then, in subsequent ballots, they could legally switch to Reagan. Delegates have abstained from voting before. Back in 2008, at least 14 delegates abstained from voting at the Republican national convention. So what would happen if the Ron Paul campaign was able to get 100 or 150 “Romney delegates” to abstain from voting during the first ballot in Tampa? That is a very intriguing question. And remember, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich also have significant numbers of delegates pledged to each of them. So Ron Paul does not need to accumulate 1,144 delegates himself to deny Mitt Romney the nomination on the first ballot. He just needs to keep Romney from getting to 1,144. The race for the Republican nomination is not over. You can find a state by state breakdown of delegate voting rules right here. It is not too late to get involved. If nobody gets to 1,144 on the first ballot in Tampa, it becomes a “brokered convention” and anyone can become the nominee – even someone that is not running right now. So if you are not satisfied with Mitt Romney as the Republican nominee, don’t lose hope yet. The game is still being played. It would be a challenge, but if his supporters get energized enough, it certainly is possible that Ron Paul could still win enough delegates to deny Mitt Romney the Republican nomination on the first ballot in Tampa. And if that happens, anything is possible. “Lulabelle” Continued from Page 6 of stretch, they are too cool and need to be reheated. 09. When the cheese is smooth and shiny, roll it into small balls and eat while warm. Or place them in a bowl of ice water for ½ hour to bring the inside temperature down rapidly; this will produce a consistent smooth texture throughout the cheese. If you do not eat all of this cheese you can store it in the refrigerator. Yield 3/4 to 1 pound. NOTE: This can be made from grocery store milk if it is not overly pasteurized. If the curds turn into the consistency or ricotta cheese and will not come together, change the brand of milk: It may have been heattreated at the factory to too high a temperature.

supporters and Santorum backers combined forces to win a “stunning upset” at the state convention, guaranteeing that about half of the state’s 33 delegates will be for Paul in August.” And look what just happened in Maine according to USA Today…. In votes leading to the close of the two-day Maine convention, Paul supporters were elected to 21 of the 24 delegate spots from Maine to the GOP national convention in Tampa, Fla. So Ron Paul is definitely accumulating a huge pile of his own delegates, but even many so-called “pledged delegates” for Romney could end up playing a huge role for Ron Paul. In some states, Ron Paul supporters have been getting elected into delegate slots that are supposed to go to Romney. This is highly unusual, and it could really shake things up at the national convention. As a Salon article recently explained there will be quite a few Ron Paul supporters that will actually be going to Tampa “disguised” as Romney delegates…. Besides the pledged delegates he’s won so far and the extras he’s collecting through caucuses and state conventions, Paul will also have some supporters disguised as Romney delegates. To understand how this works, just consider his campaign’s mischief in Massachusetts, where Romney won 72 percent of the primary vote – and with it, a monopoly on the state’s pledged convention delegates. But to determine who would fill those pledged delegate slots, the state GOP held caucuses recently, and the Paul crowd came out in force, gobbling up 16 of the 19 available positions. In how many other states will this happen, or has it already happened? But those delegates are required to vote for Romney, right? Not so fast. The Ron Paul campaign could actually ask those “disguised” Romney delegates to abstain during the first round of voting in Tampa. If Romney did not win on the first ballot, those delegates would then become unbound and would be

Zigo’s Fables The Haves and The Have-Nots
Once upon a time, there was a family, the McClellans, who lived in a particular neighborhood who believed in hard work and reaping the rewards of that hard work. Working as a family, they prospered and became far wealthier than many of their neighbors. In the same neighborhood there lived a family, the Smiths, whose male head-ofhousehold did not hold a permanent job and whose wife, a tenth-grade dropout, had a very low-paying job as a clerk at HugeMart. They got by on Food Stamps, TANF, child credits on their income tax, (un)earned income tax credits and other taxpayer-funded government welfare programs. Everytime it seemed like there was not enough income, Ms. Jones would simply engage in “pop-a-tot” behaviors and have another baby, thereby increasing the family income via increased welfare payments. The McClellans, meanwhile, gradually increased their annual income, gradually expanding their business and bringing in their older children as partners. The Smiths envied the McClellans, feeling that it was somehow unfair or unjust that they (the McClellans) were able to afford home imporovements, nice cars, a party boat and various recreational vehicles. One day, the government went broke, and the dollar was almost worthless. The welfare benefits came to a screeching halt. Mrs. Smith’s paycheck was no good at the bank, and in fact, the banks took “a holiday” and closed their doors. The Smiths did not have the money to buy food, diapers, toilet paper, gas or anything else. On the other hand, the McClellans had wisely been pickling, canning and dehydrating the foods they grew in their gardens and stashing hundreds of pounds of dried beans they had been buying a little at a time. They had enough food to sented. When they had admitted him into the cote, they found that he made more havoc and slew a larger number of them in one day than the Kite could pounce upon in a whole year. Moral: Avoid a remedy that is worse than the disease.

last for many months. Also, Mr. McClellan had been hoarding whiskey, tobacco and silver coins with which he could barter for goods and services. The Smiths had always spent every dime they brought in thanks to taxpayers like the McClellans. The Smiths were going hungry, fighting among themselves for any morsel of food. The Smiths did not even own a gun with which they might kill small game. The McClellans began killing rabbits, birds and deer to supplement their stash of vegetables and fruits. The Smiths decided that this situation demanded action, and they waited and watched until they were fairly certain no one was home at the McClellan residence and broke into the house, stealing everything they could lay their hands on. Unfortunately for the Smiths was that the McClellans had stashed all the valuables and food in a well-hidden location and had video cameras recording all property trespassers. The Smiths went to jail. The McClellans suffered some bad times but came out of everything “A-OK.” compelled to labor. Shortly afterwards, at the harvest festival, the owner released the Ox from his yoke, but bound the Heifer with cords and led him away to the altar to be slain in honor of the occasion. The Ox saw what was being done, and said with a smile to the Heifer: "For this you were allowed to live in idleness, because you were presently to be sacrificed."

Isabelle’s Garden Tips

Well, it sure was a whirlwind month...Hope your property made it better than mine. But all is going to be okay I hope. The winds were bad on some plants and others were just fine. Even my new grapefruit made it through the winds we had here. It is time to start some transplanting this weekend. I have already put out my tomatillo, new tomato transplants, and pepper transplants. Will start taking out the herbs from the hot house and tend to the soil and plant greens in there for the rest of the summer. Greens like Swiss Chard, Mustard, some mixed greens and I have already planted my Eggplant. When I take out the cilantro, dill, Basil, and the rest of my herbs from hot house I will dehydrate those and put them up to use later. Isn’t this fun? I think so. I love digging in the dirt or just playing in it and the sand. After all that is where we

came from, right? With the weather like it has been, be sure and water properly. Just a quick rundown :trees and bushes you need to water heavily about 3 times a week (as long as we have a little humidity in the air), every other day if it is bone-dry without any rain. Then on your most tender vegetables mist daily to keep the soil moist, not like a soggy bog, and a few plants need to almost dry out and then get a really good soaking and keep doing that to keep them growing. You will learn each of your plants, they have somewhat of a personality, for example, my vines which do not want to be trained will up and grow overnight right back to where I don’t want them. You just have to keep on trying and like a kid it will finally yield to your wishes. Did you know you can buy castings (worm dirt) which have the eggs in them and when you put it in the ground with

your plants you start have much better plants? Don’t buy those night crawlers because they do just that, crawl out at night. I have a friend whose Aunt had a tub of dirt that she but all her fishing worms in and covered it. She had all she needed for fishing plus could take some of the worm dirt and put around her plants and boy ever did they grow. Very healthy plants I might say! So, this means that you may need to water some of the time, all of the time and all of the time sometimes. Bottom line keep moisture available for the dirt and the dirt will take care of the plant. Do not over fertilize and kill your plants, especially now that you have got everything planted. You need to make a compost pile. It is easy and guess what it needs watering too! Just pick a place and make it fenced in on the ground and put , dirt, greens (Grass clippings), lots of dried leaves and hay from

chickens and some chicken poop and mixed it up with about a quarter cup of baking yeast to kick it off. Then just mix once or twice a week and you will have some of the best and sweetest smelling dirt in Texas. You use that dirt mixed with regular dirt and top with some of your hay from the chicken coop and you will be in business. Now when you want to eat you go to your garden and choose what you want for ingredients, and it doesn’t get any fresher than that. Remember broccoli when cooked has more nutrients than when raw. So, yes you do need this information because so much is said that you need to eat it raw and, for most part it is true, but not always. You need to check it out for yourself. Until we get together next July, keep the right worms in and the the bad bugs out of your garden. Love, Isabelle

Its Your Life, Your Money, Your Freedom
by V. J. Alford The conglomerate of the New Finished product (NEW WORLD ORDER) actually looks and feels good, until you discover THAT IT IS NEVER GOOD FOR THE INDIVIDUAL BECAUSE he has different wants/desires and not all the things of what the Conglomerate wants. So becoming a sheeple is not on your menu. But that Conglomerate wants you to have an equal life as other humans all over this planet. That means if you live in the USA, that Conglomerate wants to change your current life style. You say you could stand a change? Did you ask yourself what kind of change does that Conglomerate (that has no soul) want to do to me and my family? Do you know what you want for yourself? Your family? Can you stand to live in a world that you get 1 cup of dry beans as a daily ration? And your next ration would be say in 7 days? So where does the food come from for your kids parties? For you are just like your neighbors, friends, acquaintance or total strangers on the street who also only receive identical to you 1 cup of dry beans? Guess you can figure out there would be zero food for your friends and family and that equals no party. Should you desire to protect your family and friends or neighbors you start immediately thinking for yourself and smartly at that. No one should tell you anything without you agreeing with the proper reasoning between both of you. You must really start reading for your own prosperity in your physical health and financial health. We can do things and prepare for our own future regardless of how this war flops. I remember along the way being told by my Grandpa Alford, “Keep your faith in the Lord and hang-on tightly for the ride...He will not let go of you.” So you don’t let go of Him. The end result will always be worth the suffering. Tell God how much you love Him for sending His Son to you and you will do your best to do the same as He desires you to do that. Now, back to the realities of today. It is time to stop the blaming of others for your situation. Face it: Some have more than you and you have more than some. That is because you worked for what you wanted and others only did what they could to get by and they certainly want what you have and feel that it is perfectly okay to take from you for them to have what they want but were not willing to earn. Guess you could say they want you for their slave. Just because they wanted to do whatever they wanted to at that time, they now want what you have. How do you protect your belongings and food and family and yourself? Well if you have a weapon you will be better off, unless you have been conned into believing you should give them to the State (meaning Federal Government). Now you say, VJ, you are crazy. The Feds would not do that! Oh, really? The Federal Government did do that to the American Japanese citizens in World War II. They had what in our family were called concentration camps and today we have FEMA camps already built. You should be aware of over 130 camps and also inquire why some railroad cars have been prepared with shackles. Why has the American government written so many new laws setting up the venue for massive riots from the people. Sure those thugs that cause protests need to be removed you say. Well, it will be people like you and me simply saying you do not like something and if saying something against the President it will land you in jail and label you as possibly a terrorist (most likely), a dissentient, or any other label on you and your family and quite possible that your neighbor will be taunted because they See “Freedom” Continued on Page 12

It’s a Dog’s Life
by “Miss Daisy Duke”

When will I every learn. Another day older and another frog ate. Yesterday I saw the strangest thing. I was watching a big fat frog, thinking I would play with it for a while, kill it and maybe eat it. Then there was this slithering thing about as long as I am. It had its itty bitty head right up to the frog and its mouth wide open. You’d never think that little head could open a mouth that wide. Just as it looked like it was about the bite the frog, Mom came out of the house. She’s a real sissy when it comes to slithering critters, so she went back in to get Little Mom, who went out there and grabbed a spade, stabbing the creature in the neck. But the ground was wet from rain, and she couldn’t get the thing to die. So, there it was waving its body around all wierd-like, with Little Mom holding onto that spade with her weight on it. Finally she reached inside the carport, still holding the spade and grabbed some big thing that looks sort of like giant scissors but is used to trim brush and trees and lopped that critter right into two pieces and tossed it out for the buzzards. Meanwhile, the frog escaped unharmed so I can hunt him down on another day. Whew! Close call! A few days later, a little woman came over to help with some of the outdoor chores. She was no taller than Little Mom, and I liked her a whole lot ‘cuz she would throw me my bone and try to get me to bring it back to her. She didn’t know I never, ever return my bone. I ain’t stupid, I grab that bone and go on about my playing with it. For awhile she was working right in my own domain, sweeping out the garage and carport areas. I decided it was time for me to perform my real duty in life - supervise work. So, I found a nice cool spot on the garage floor and watched her every move. After I while, though, I got a little dizzy watching that broom go back and forth, so I did my usual thing - lay my head down and close my eyes. But that lady was so nice, I really liked her

being here. Then the next day, there was man here I really like. He, the woman with him and my peeps went into the house to have human food. I could smell that meat cooking on Mom’s grill, and I really wanted to go in the house ‘cuz that man always sneaks human food to me under the table and thinks Mom doesn’t see him do it. But, doggone it, I’m banned from the house. Mom says it’s because I’m so hairy and shed hair all over the place and ‘cuz I nearly ruined her furniture by sneaking up on it to sleep at night. She says I am one dirty dog. What does she know? I’m at least as clean as any other dog except maybe those little yappers who go to the doggy beauty parlor all time. Whine, whine -- yeah, I know, I’m always whining ‘cuz I think my dog’s life should be even better than it already is. Hey, I want all the freebies I can get, “just like Obamaniacs,” Mom says. Oh, well,”Arf, arf,” for now.

June 2012 “Daily Bell Continued from Page 5 plex? Robin Koerner: Again, what do you mean by "work for"? I don't think Military Industrial Inc. is paying him in brown envelopes but I think that our system is now such that it would take a huge and very concerted change from the top to alter things so that largescale government action and policy no longer favored that complex. Govt and MIC interests are so intertwined, and in many respects, overwhelming. Daily Bell: Is there a power elite that wants to take over the world? Robin Koerner: Depending on how you define it, there is a power elite that to a large extent already runs the world... But they don't run it so effectively that we couldn't stop them. If they run it, it is because we let them. Most of us let them because we are too busy "getting on with our lives" actually to understand how things really work. Daily Bell: Why is America in so many wars? Robin Koerner: To a man with a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. America's hammer is its military. There is also a dangerous self-righteousness in American foreign policy that operates between arrogance and naivete, i.e., American decisions to go to war are based on an assumption that the policy-makers know more of what they need to know than they in fact do ... and on the idea that because their intentions are good, the methods they use cannot be bad. Moreover, as per your earlier questions, it appears that special interests associated with the MIC have an incentive (and the political and economic means) to nudge policy in a certain direction. Daily Bell: Is there ever a good war? Robin Koerner: Yes. Daily Bell: Are politics salvageable in the US? liberty movement will, of course, be critical. It needs to stay energetic, focused and passionate, and must take care to remember that it is impossible simultaneously to antagonize and persuade: It needs to focus on winning supporters – not just arguments. Daily Bell: Is government necessary? Are laws necessary? What kind? Robin Koerner: I am not a purist in politics. Politics is a rather pragmatic undertaking for me. All I know is that constitutional government would be infinitely better than what we have now. I want us to go back to that conception of government provided by the Founders. I'm interested in that practical change. These two questions are more philosophical to me and I don't have a position on them. (For one thing, I've not done all the reading I would need to do even to be confident in an answer). But I don't feel I need to answer them. I'm not trying to be the poster child for anarchists! I'm pointing out that we need the country to change direction drastically and immediately. Daily Bell: Should government pay for poor people? Robin Koerner: My answer is here: "America's Not Faring Well on Welfare." All the data show that the delivery of welfare by the central government has failed by its own stated goals, and is having massively damaging unintended consequences that ultimately harm those it is meant to help. Please see the article. This is not the same thing as saying there is no place for structured means of helping the poor in our society. It is to say that a) we should treat the disease (crony-corporatism, the capture of politics by special interests, a government monopolistic fiat monetary system) and not just the symptoms (poverty etc.) and b) there are a myriad other ways of manifesting compassion for the poor in our society other than federal government-driven, and it is time to bring the innovativeness and genius that resides in our nation to start working on them. A good place to start is with the Tenth Amendment and the laboratories of the 50 states. present system? Robin Koerner: It is looking more like that every day. The idea that the government is the servant of the people has clearly gone from government. Government is scared. Like every other institution, it will do what it needs to do to protect its own existence. It has the monopoly of force and it would almost be surprising if it did not gear up to use that force when threatened. Daily Bell: Why did Homeland Security order 400 million hollow-point bullets? Robin Koerner: I don't know, but it doesn't look good, does it? In the absence of any other information, it seems like they're expecting something and they're preparing for it. Perhaps there is to be an event in the near future that will cause significant societal unrest/chaos. If so, one's first guess has to be that it will be an economic event ... or perhaps the revelation of something that will reflect badly on our masters that is currently unknown but can't be kept secret indefinitely. Perhaps they're signing up to something internationally that the American people are going to resist. These are all speculations, of course. Perhaps someone in Homeland Security just owns a ton of shares in a company that makes the bullets! Daily Bell: Can Ron Paul become the GOP candidate for president? Robin Koerner: This is really the same question as "Can Ron Paul become president?", because if he gets the GOP nomination, he is almost certain to win. The reason it could happen is that unprecedented things are happening in the GOP because of the passion, clarity and (most importantly) directedness of action that is in the liberty movement. The ultimate consequences of the creative chaos that is happening in the Republican party cannot be predicted. In particular, if the party establishment behaves in a way that is clearly dishonest and seeks to disenfranchise Ron Paul's supporters (and we are seeing multiple indications of this), we will attract sympathy and credibility and then all bets are off – in our favor. Basically, is a Ron Paul win likely today? No. Is it possible? Yes – very possible ... because the changes that are occurring in, and coming to, the GOP (and the country) are highly "nonlinear". mind about him, opening the way for anyone else. In that case, Ron Paul will, of course, be the overwhelming favorite. Also, Paul's supporters are simply not going to just fall in line behind Romney. It is clear to me that the GOP stands more of a chance of victory with Paul than with Romney, and with a little gestalt switch, that could become clear to the party as well. It is possible that the brute fact that a Romney candidacy would result in the loss of the most energetic and passionate chunk of his party (the liberty movement around Ron Paul), and that he can't pull in the Independent vote like Ron Paul, who wins that segment against Obama overwhelmingly, causes the party actually to do the math and so support Ron Paul out of sheer pragmatism. (See my article m/robin-koerner/how-ronpaul-can-win-ona_b_1098770.html). They can't see this now, but when they see the faces of all those hundreds of delegates in the convention hall in Tampa whom they know will be gone if they insist on their anointed candidate, who would bet their life that they wouldn't have a tinge of doubt? Basically, Ron Paul can win the nomination precisely because no one knows, in the face of all the unusual variables in the process this time, what is possible. Our lack of ability to predict the future is in our favor. Again, I don't expect Ron Paul's victory, but it wouldn't surprise me at all. Daily Bell: Is the Internet important? Robin Koerner: Hugely. Without it, we would not be talking about Ron Paul in the way that we are here. Daily Bell: Is the Internet the hope for the future of independent people or is it another facility that will soon be controlled? Robin Koerner: Probably both. On the one hand, it empowers independent citizens, but on the other, huge, current economic interests are threatened by it, making attempts to control it all the more likely severe. We are already seeing that with bills like CISPA, etc. Daily Bell: Where do you go from here?

The Real Mitt Romney
From: by Daily Bell Staff An argument could be made that US President Barack Obama is typical of the kinds of rulers that the modern power elite is trying to install around the world. Bloodless, calculating, shrewd and cautious (in an unctuous and ruthless way), Obama is the kind of leader that the elites are seeking out. We have seen similar emplacements in Greece, Italy and even Spain. Mitt Romney is another in this mold. It is a technocratic assemblage. The idea at root is not to question the system itself but simply to make it work "better." The idea is that systems are prone to entropy and that only skilled, judicious leaders can arrest the entropy, capture the anarchy and make unruly systems work. The reality is that nothing is what it seems when it comes to governance and that the world is in the grip of a power elite matrix, from what we can tell, that seeks to expand the current system. The tools used are mostly within the context of what we call dominant social themes – fear-based mechanisms that tend to drive people into predetermined globalist solutions. In order to take full advantage of this belief-system matrix, leaders have to be selected who will promote the globalist program. In the world's most powerful countries in Europe – and also Canada and America – the leaders put in place by the elites (for it seems to us they are increasingly "put" into place) have endorsed this larger technocratic program. Mitt Romney is surely one such technocratic, as is Barack Obama. Outside of the color of their skin, it could be argued that there is not a millimeter's worth of difference between them. Obama ran on a platform of "hope and change," but when looked at objectively, he in many ways merely carried on the work of George W. Bush who merely increased the arc of Bill Clinton's authoritarianism and globalism. Romney will surely continue and expand the welfare/warfare state, just as did Clinton, Bush and now Obama. One of the reasons that there has been much talk of drawdown of American troops overseas is because Obama and the Money Power that apparently runs him want to draw a delineation between US Republicans and Democrats.

But when one looks closely at the reality of Obama's intentions, it does not seem much has changed. The US militaryindustrial complex – the signature of empire – is firmly in place. The US may expand and sustain its power by proxy in the 21st century via mercenaries and other powers, but that power shall still be projected. There are two fundaments to the American empire ... central banking and the projection of military power within the context of the welfare/warfare state. Only one man within the context of a major political campaign this season has stood athwart the inexorable trend ... That man is libertarian-conservative presidential candidate Ron Paul. He wishes to "end the Fed" and to withdraw American forces around the world and shut down many of the US's 1,000 military and spy bases. One can argue about Paul's sincerity, or whether he is part of a larger elite dialectic, but one cannot argue with his effectiveness in putting these issues out there. They represent a significant change in US post-war vocabulary, partially driven, in our view, by what we call the Internet Reformation. Paul claims, rightly so, that the US is broke and cannot afford either a central bank that is sapping what is left of the US's increasingly ruined economy or the ruinous projection of force that benefits Money Power but not the average worker. Romney is on record that his data driven analysis will somehow arrest the trends that are driving the West into ruin and paving the way apparently for one-world government. But these trends have nothing to do with analytics. Power politics itself has nothing to do really with the free market. Western governments as they are operated now cannot be reconfigured via analysis or better statistical overviews. What makes the marketplace superior to government is competition. There is no competition that government generally allows. And the US government in particular is in the grip of an elite that obviously wishes to create world government. Everything about Mitt Romney, were he to be elected, tells us that he will be merely another functionary within the context of elite plans for global governance. Conclusion: Romney is beginning to tell the story of "Romney," CBS informs us. We already know how it ends.

The Lake & Country Shopper -12 “Freedom” Continued From Page 10 should have reported you for saying something wrong about this government. Today I read where the current man holding the office of the President of the USA, has threatened the Supreme Court again and using senior citizens as the bait. He will destroy the Medicare system if he does not get his way. How has this happened? Wake up! You and I have done this to ourselves and we have time to correct. Then we will have the opportunity to repair and rebuild this wonderful USA. None of us want to be just like someone else. We are truly all individualists. And until Clinton, Bush and Obama we were not aware of just what those folks were up to. But we are finding out more and more everyday. Yes, you see it was not a party of Democrats or Republicans, or Libertarians or Independents, but a very sinister group of people who came to destroy and were very slow to do those deeds but so committed to success were willing to wait until the time comes. They raised generation after generation from the 1930's for sure, to be just a little more relaxed in what they did. Like how they dressed and spoke out in public. Then the manners drifted away. Always saying it is for the children, getting so bad that at one point in our history the children became Idols, and if correcting their bad behavior you were sinning. They even started a policing agency to arrest you for taking care of your child. Still you and I did not see; it was like a veil over our eyes. Well, I could go on forever about how foolish we were, but I will stop here and leave you with your own decision about how you will want to live and what you will be leaving all your children and your spouse or partner... Myself, I will take care of me, family, friends and neighbors as best I can and for all of those I know, they can count on me and I will be able to count on those. Never lose your faith in God through Jesus Christ. He will help all make it. His hand is reaching out all the time and you must reach for his. As I see it, let your vote stand strong and vote for the person and not any political party. I think those “parties” are being used as a tool to divide and conquer for the demise of America. It is our choice! I myself will be voting for one man only and you should do the same. Talk with you again in July. May GOD save America.

Ron Paul’s Plan to Restore America
SYNOPSIS: America is the greatest nation in human history. Our respect for individual liberty, free markets, and limited constitutional government produced the strongest, most prosperous country in the world. But, we have drifted far from our founding principles, and America is in crisis. Ron Paul’s “Restore America” plan slams on the brakes and puts America on a return to constitutional government. It is bold but achievable. Through the bully pulpit of the presidency, the power of the Veto, and, most importantly, the united voice of freedom-loving Americans, we can implement fundamental reforms. Texas Senate Race: Dewhurst, the Establishment Republican, vs. Ted Cruz, the Conservative

Even primary voters looking for a no-frills, no-apologies conservative, Cruz is the genuine article.” In my view, the last thing we need in Washington is another go-along-to-get-along bipartisan moderate. Barack Obama is the most radical President we have ever had – and his profligate spending has driven our nation to the brink of bankruptcy – but he didn’t create the problem alone. Career politicians in both parties, eager to stay in power by buying votes, have cooperated (“compromised,” to use the media’s preferred term) in robbing the taxpayers. And we’re going broke. I don’t think the problem in Washington has been too much principle from Republicans. To the contrary, in 2006 and 2008 Republicans lost their way, and that’s a big part of the reason why Obama was elected. I think we need to draw a line in the sand – to get back to the free-market principles that have made our nation great. We need to stand up and fight for liberty, fight to restore the Constitution. As the papers said, if you want a moderate establishment incumbent, David Dewhurst is your choice. But if you want a strong conservative fighter – who will lead the fight against the Obama agenda and not compromise us into bankruptcy – then I ask for your support.

This is No Way to Elect a President
ployees had but one task: "The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves" (Article II Section 1 Clause 3). These names were compiled and sent to the President of the Senate. The Electors job was done; when they adjourned from their one-day meeting, there were no more Electors. "The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The person having the greatest number of votes shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed;" (Article II Section 1 Clause 3) . The original Constitution provides remedies for a tied vote, and other anomalies, but the original system was quite simple, and ingenious, if not inspired. Ordinary citizens, chosen by state legislators, nominated a field of candidates, and the House of Representatives (chosen directly by the people) either named the highest vote getter to be President, or chose the President from the top five vote getters, in the event no one got an outright majority. Each state had one vote. See “No Way” Continued on Page 15

Close your eyes for a moment, and imagine how we might elect the next president without seeing a single TV commercial, without a single Political Action Committee, without a single debate, without a single dollar changing hands, without a single "support me and I'll appoint you Secretary of State," without months of endless, meaningless promises that try the soul of the most patient patriots. Can't be done? .It can be done. It has been done. It is the system designed by the Framers of the Constitution. It is the system that elected President George Washington. By 1795, however, when it came time to elect Washington's successor, the Federalists, represented by John Adams, and the Democratic-Republicans, represented by Thomas Jefferson, were far more concerned about gaining power and control of government than about electing the best person to be president. The original system required each state to select the same number of Electors as the number of Senators and Representatives to which the state was entitled, "but no Senator or Representative, or person holding an office of trust or profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector" (Article II Section 1 Clause 2). Well, politically I understand it, but that’s just absurd. It’s sad. ‘Cause I really, really, really like Rick Perry! I really do. I had such hopes! I did. I’ll tell you, I did, but all of this talk about “corporate raiders,” and as I listen to politicians start talking about capitalism, lights are going off in my head. Maybe they don’t really know what it is. Maybe they’re under some misconception about what capitalism is, because this characterization of it? A distinction with venture capitalism and vulture capitalism? This bite from Perry doesn’t compute.’ So why are these conservative talk show hosts defending Mitt Romney so furiously? I think now we know. It is all about the money. When you have enough money, you can get conservative talk

show hosts to promote an extremely liberal candidate. Yes, of course Bain Capital does not “control” what these talk show hosts say. Yes, of course some of the talk show hosts toss some light criticism at Romney from time to time. But they simply do not go after Romney like they should. The truth is that Mitt Romney is really a Democrat that is masquerading as a Republican. When you closely examine his record, he is very similar to Obama. There is no way in the world that any self-respecting conservative should ever cast a single vote for him. But right now Mitt Romney is running away with the race for the Republican nomination. If Republicans can be fooled this badly, is there any hope for the future of the Republican Party?

Obamacare and College Loans .. Bound Together to Enslave as Many
Americans As possible to the Federal Government.
Anytime you can enable people to spend more and more money for some particular product and, at the same time convince people that the product is a necessity, the cost of the product goes up exponentially. That’s just the nature of things. Prior to the days of “burial policies,” “life insurance policies” and their ilk, when someone died he was more than likely placed in a simple pine box or even just wrapped up in sheets, laid out in someone’s living or dining room. Male relatives and friends dug a hole with shovels and buried the “coffin” the next day. When burial insurance and life insurance came into being, up sprang the “funeral home,” offering extremely expensive services that most people cannot afford. There are coffins priced at upwards of $15,000, huge unnecessary embalming charges, a “viewing room” and a whole host of other overpriced services provided. Advertising, peer-pressure and most especially pressure from funeral homes just after the death of a loved one made people feel guilty if they did not spend as much as possible on the funeral, memorial service, coffin and flowers for the deceased. Prior to the existence of health insurance, once referred to as medical insurance, going to see a doctor was relatively inexpensive when compared to income or the cost-of-living, but I did not know any doctors who were not making a good living. When “health insurance” became prevalent, the doctors charged more, the hospitals charged more and medical care of all sorts became far more expensive. The costs for doctors rose as a result of processing insurance claims -- all that extra staff and extra paperwork. The costs ultimately went back to whoever was paying the premiums -- meaning you. Years ago, when I went to college, I had friends who had rich parents who sent their children to Ivy League schools. My own family was of more modest means, and I attended a state university in my hometown. My tuition was $50 per semester for a full load of courses each semester. Additional fees brought the total up to about $95. Books cost between $100 and $200 per semester. I worked a part-time job to cover my incidentals, such as coffee and lunch on campus, pens, notebooks, etc., and I lived at home, with my mother providing me with “free room and board” as long as I was working on a four-year

degree in four years or less. Then came federally subsidized student loans, long after I had graduated. Anyone could get a loan. When that happened, tuitions, fees and books, dormitory costs and a meal plan and all costs began to go up, very gradually at first and now exponentially. Meanwhile, Presidents of the United States and other high-profile politicians began to emphatically announce that everyone should go to college, that everyone needs and even deseres a college degree. In addition, huge corporations began to influence what a student should study in college that would get him or her a really well-paying job once that diploma was in hand. Colleges began to design curriculum with the goal of pleasing industry who in turn lobbied for the schools rather than offering a traditional education. Instead of learning English literature, mathematics, the arts and sciences and history, students were steered into such fields as “computer programming,” “communications,” “radio and TV,” “computer engineering,” and many other industry-oriented majors. This is going on today, magnified many times. Public high school students are taught that, without a college degree, “you’ll never be anything but a fast-food worker.” Considering the failure of public schools, that may well be true today, as the average high school graduate today is no better educated than yesterday’s eighth-grade dropout.

The government, especially Obama, encourages students to obtain government loans for their college education. The so-called “Obamacare” bill passed under the radar a portion that turned all college loans over to the federal government, complete with certain provisions that taking various government service jobs could erase some or all of the loan. What is this? First of all, ObamaCare is going to be enforced by some 16,000 new IRS agents, probably armed. The Army wants “internment camp specialists,” and nearly all branches of government want intelligence personnel (snoops). If one owes a student loan, and the federal government loaned the money, and the student cannot get a job after graduation and cannot repay the loan, the student then becomes a virtual slave to the government. He or she then has virtually no choice but to go to work for the slave master, the federal government. The more money one borrowed in order to get that industry-approved degree, the longer and harder and worse one’s slavery will be. Obamacare, as passed, is not about care. It is about power and control. The Marxist (statists) will use this to take control of everything in our lives. They want us all to less and eventually nothing. For all those who voted for Obama or for any big govpolitician, I hope you have the stomach for slavery and poverty.

Many people report that the diet they were advised to follow is not effective in keeping their blood sugar controlled. The ADA should be helping diabetics to find ways to make serious carbohydrate reduction work, instead of insisting that it can't be done. It’s all about money. The ADA does not receive money from chicken farmers or cattle ranchers or, e.g., brocolli growers – it all comes from Big Pharma and related industries. Here are the corporations that support the ADA: Eli Lilly, Merck, Nova Nordisk, Sanov Aventis, Amylin Pharmaceuiticals, BD Diabetes Care, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Bravo Health, a provider of Medicare health and prescription drug plans, Bright Sky (diabetic testing supplies), Walmart, Walgreen’s, Catherine’s (clothing for obese women), Equal (non-nutrient sweetener, not recommended for use by any human being), Kraft foods (mostly processed foods, not recommended for any human except for some of their cheeses), Nutrisystem (prepared, processed foods intended for weight loss, especially for those who are either so disabled that they cannot cook or too lazy to cook and eat the right foods), Splenda (sucralose - a questionable artifical sweetener), and many others. All of these companies profit from diabetics remaining sick – eating carbohydrates and then using drugs to counteract the bad foods they just ate. It’s a “follow the money” no-brainer to see now why the ADA does not recommend a diet by which diabetes can be prevented and controlled, very often with no drugs. They are in business to perpetuate themselves and to provide a reason to do so, not in business to help the diabetes problem. Now let us take a look at why 33% of Americans are obese and the number of people with diabetes is growing exponentially. The USDA provides us with un-researched dietary guidelines that are virtually guaranteed to cause at least one-third of the population to become obese. No amount of exercise for these people will counteract the negative effects of eating lots of grain products, low-fat products and low-fat proteins. For another large portion of the population, the USDA dietary guidelines will lead to high cholesterol and many other heart-disease related problems whether or not they are overweight and no matter how much or how little they exercise. In addition, the USDA governs public school lunches, injecting their dubious dietary requirements into the lives of all children who attend public schools. Why does the USDA do this when they should know better? Again, it is a matter of “follow the money.” In this case, as a government agency, they cannot directly accept donations of billions of dollars from the huge agriculture and food manufacturing corporations, but those corporations have huge lobbies in Washington and spend billions of dollars lobbying Congress and donating to political campaigns. The politicians just blindly follow the money. After all, who is going to bite the hand that feeds them? The dietary guidelines are those that make Big Agra, Big Farma, and Big Food happy. They support GMO foods and massive corn and wheat farms. Read the ingredients on the next few pre-packaged foods you buy. Chances are that at least one of the ingredients is either a derivative of corn, wheat or soy, and it is extremely unlikely that they are not manufactured from GMO crops. Here’s an example: Product: Cheerios (breakfast cereal promoted as “cholesterol lowering”) Cheerios Ingredients:*Whole Grain Cereal Grains (77.8%)(Whole Grain Oats, Whole Grain Wheat, Whole Grain Barley, Whole Grain Rice, Whole Grain Maize), *Sugar, *Partially Inverted Brown Sugar Syrup, *Wheat Starch, *Salt, *Tripotassium Phosphate, *Colours: Carotene, Annatto and Caramel; Antioxidant: Tocopherols. As you can see, besides oats, it contains, wheat, barley, rice and maize (which is corn), sugar, sugar syrup, wheat starch. There is an extremely high likelihood that these came from GMO crops. Additionally, one cup of Cheerios (and who eats just one cup) contains 21 grams of carbohydrates before you add a cup of low-fat milk at almost 12 grams. That’s 33 grams so far, and that’s before you add sugar. Both sugar beets and sugar cane are in production as GMO crops. Sugar contains 5 grams of carbohydrate per teaspoon (and who adds just one teaspoon). You say, “but I sweented with honey.” Honey has 19 grams per tablespoon. The chances are good that anyone who eats Cheerios for breakfast is consuming around 50 or more carbohydrates for a meal that is almost guaranteed to make them feel hungry again within two or three hours. Cheerios is owned by General Mills, the third-largest consumer processed food company in the United States. Any diabetic who truly wishes to stay off the drugs and control their diabetes by diet alone or diet and a smaller amount of drugs has discovered that only a severely lowcarb diet works. As reported by Regina Wilshire in her low-carb science blog Weight of the Evidence, a spokesperson for the ADA says that low carb diets are helpful for managing diabetes, but they aren’t recommended because the ADA thinks that low carb is too difficult for people to “live with long term." They seem to believe diabetics in general are too lazy, too stupid or too weak-willed to maintain a truly low-carbohydrate lifestyle. In other words, instead of trying to help people follow the diet that is best for them, this prominent organization admits to recommending a diet that is less healthy for diabetics –- a diet that could cause a type 2 diabetic to take more medication, progress to becoming dependent on insulin, or even suffer from any of a number of health problems caused by poor blood glucose control. One result of this policy is that people who find that lowcarb diets work for them in managing their blood glucose end up ignoring the advice of their doctors and nutritionists and striking out on their own in their quest to find a healthier diet. We see these people in low carb forums. They come

“It is unfortunate that Americans are no longer aware of what the constitution says and what their rights are. Because of that, we are often very passive about what happens when the government violates those rights.”
--James Bovard

“No Way” Continued from Page 12 This amazing story has been researched and explained in great detail in a book titled: "The Evolution and Destruction of the Electoral College," by Gary and Carolyn Alder. Who knew? No school teaches this important information. Political parties are still far more concerned about gaining power and control of government than they are about the quality and leadership ability of the President. While this has been a growing truth for decades, the division and vitriol between the parties that now exists is worse, or at least as bad, as it has ever been. The current process is flawed. And it is unconstitutional. Direct election of the President is not authorized by the U.S. Constitution. Throughout the 19th century, political parties maneuvered to find ways to influence the Electors chosen by the states. The Constitution was simply ignored. Much like the Constitution is ignored today by President Obama when he sends the U.S. military into Libya without Congressional approval, or when he appoints Czars and Cabinet Secretaries without Senate approval (and on and on). The gradual usurpation of power over the election process continued until 1804 when the 12th Amendment was adopted. This Amendment required the Electors to identify one nominee to be the President, and another nominee to be the Vice President. This may not seem to be much of a change, but it was enough to empower political parties to really take control of the process. There is no similarity between today's nominating and election process and what the Constitution authorized. Consequently, we see billions of dollars invested in TV and other advertising, endless debates and arguments, much time taken away from real responsibilities of the candi-

dates, and generally wind up with a President who is far from the best qualified person to be the President of the United States. Political parties have completely removed the states from any role in the federal government. It began with the 12th Amendment, and was completed with the 17th Amendment in 1913. The states that created the federal government are no longer a part of it; thanks, in large part, to the quest for power of the two major political parties. It doesn't have to continue this way. Americans who respect and appreciate the Constitution can exercise their power at the ballot box and kick-out political party ideologues at every level of government. It will not be easy, and it will not be quick. It will not happen at all, unless generations of Americans learn what the Framers designed, and why their design offers real improvement over the present system. Americans are discovering that they can make a difference at city hall, at the courthouse, and in Congress. The mid-term elections that shifted the balance of power in the House of Representatives demonstrate what Americans can do when they put their mind and energy to it. The more than 50 communities that have evicted Agenda 21 this year, is even more evidence of what is possible. The foundation of change is information and education. The next step is informed engagement with elected officials and candidates. The final step is to inspire a sufficient number of friends and neighbors to achieve victory at the ballot box. Let's do it. “Crooks” Continued from Page 14 tural Lobby has paid off. It is clear when the statistics are examined that the votes follow the money. The Industrial Agricultural Lobby has successfully lobbied and contributed, basically bought their influence in congress. Yet, unfortunately this disturbing fact would not come as a surprise to anyone who knows US politics today. Money wins campaigns, money buys votes, in a country now steered, not so much by the collective public will, but rather by the lobbying efforts of special interest groups, we should all look to who has the money to see how our government will vote. In the agricultural area it is the industrialized agricultural lobby, huge multinational corporations, not the public, who will descide the future of US agriculture, for they have the money to spend.” And this from:

new-usda-dietary-guideline/ In conclusion… Although some of the new USDA guidelines are just watered-down common sense (“be more active, eat less junk food”), a few of the recommendations are downright harmful: the idea that polyunsaturated fats are universally healthy, the perpetuated fear of saturated fat, the encouragement of low-fat dairy, and the notion that everyone needs a carb-heavy, grain-based diet to thrive. Unfortunately, the 2010 recommendations parrot the same misinformation that’s been keeping Americans fat and sick for so long—all stemming from a flawed understanding of cholesterol and disease, as well as decades of research biased to please the gods of Conventional Wisdom. Bottom line: These guidelines will guide you alright— straight to your spot in the pharmacy line. Look elsewhere for advice if you’re serious about your health.
