The Group has "CT - 1" CR 1" grading to credit. SUBSIDIARIES:- The Jaypee Group operates through its various subsidiaries in different business segments - Cement and Power Sector. Jaiprakash Hydro-Power Limeted (JHPL) - In 1990 the Govt. of Himanchal Pradesh (GOHP) invited private sector participation for the 'BASPA II run of the river hydro power project' Jaiprakash Associates secured the project and formulated a subsidiary by the name of JHPL to enter into an agreement with the GOHP. Baspa II is a 300 MW project, which commenced operation in June 2003. Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited (JPVL) - In the state of Uttranchal the group set up a subsidiary - JVPL for the Vishnu Prayag 400 MW project. This project commenced operations in June 2006 and is India's largest hydropower project in the private sector. Jaypee Karcham Hydro Corporation Limited (JKHCL) - The Goverment of Himanchal Pradesh again invited the group for the Karcham Wangtoo a 1000 MW project. The group formulated JKHCL for this project. Still under execution, the project is to commence its operations in the year 2011. Jaypee Cement Limited (JCL) JCL recently acquired Gujrat Anjan Cement with a capacity of 1.2 MTPA at Bhuj, Gujrat. The company is also exploring further opportunities of setting up/ acquiring new/ existing cement plants in India. Jaypee Power Grid Ltd. (JPL) 1

JPL is a subsidiary of JHPL & a joint venture company of JHPL & Power Grid Corporation of India (Ltd.) has been formed for execution of the transmission system between Wangtoo in Kinnaur district of Himanchal Pradesh & Abdullapur in Yamuna Nagar district of Haryana for evacuation of 1000 MW power from Karcham Wangtoo HEP in Himanchal Pradesh. Gujrat Anjan Cement Limited (GACL) - This company , a subsicidiary of Jaypee Cement Limited, is setting up a cement plant of 1.2 MTPA capacity at village Vayor, Taluka Abdasa Distt. Ketch in Gujrat. Jaypee Infratech Limited (JIL) - A subsidiary of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd. which would undertake the implementation of prestigious Yamuna Expressway Project comprising of 165 KM, 6 Lane Access Controlled Expressway connecting Greater Noida with Agra. Japee Ganga Infrastructure Corporation Limited (JGICL) JGICL a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company for implementation of the prestigious 1047 km. long 8- lane Access controlled Expressway connecting Greater Noida with GhazipurBallia. JPSK Sports Private Limited (JPSKSPL) - JPSK Sports Private Limited is incorporated for developing a Greenfield state of the art sports Complex including Car Race track suitable for Formula One race with related integrated support infrastructure including Township (s) and auxillary facilities. Gujrat Jaypee Cement & Infrastructure Limited (GJCIL) - The Group has signed an Agreement with Gujrat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDCL) for setting up of a 2.4 MTPA capacity cement manufacturing plant with captive power station and captive Jetty in Kutch Distt. of Gujarat. Bhilai Jaypee Cement Limited (BJCL) - Incorporated in the state of Chhatisgarh as a joint venture with Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL). The said company is to produce 2.2 MTPA of cement at Bhilai and Satna.

Himalayan Expressway Ltd. - The company will undertake the construction of Zirakpur Parwanoo Highway connecting Punjab, Haryana & Himanchal Pradesh on BOT basis. The total length of the highway would be 28.690 kms. Madhya Pradesh Jaypee Minerals Limited (MPJML)- A joint venture company between JAL and the Madhya Pradesh state mining corporation Limited (MPSMCL) to develop the Amelia (North) Coal block. CIVIL ENGINEERING Initially, the Jaypee Group started as civil engineering contractors. Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, the flagship company of the Group, is a leader in Construction of river valley and hydropower projects on turnkey basis for more than 4 decades. CEMENT DIVISION Jaypee group is the 3rd largest cement producer in the country. The group cement facilities are located in Satna Cluster (U.P.) which has one of the highest cement production growth grouth in India. The group produces special blend of Portland Pozzolana Cement under the brand name ' Jaypee Cement' (PPC). Its Cements Division currently operates modem, computerized process control cement plants with an aggregate capacity of 13.5 MTPA. The company is in the midst of capacity expansion of its cements business in Northern, Southern, Central, Eastern and Western Parts of the country and is slated to be a 24.30 MTPA cement Producer by the year 2010 and 26.80 MTPA by 2011 with Captive Thermal Power Plants totaling 327MW. Keeping pace with the advancements in IT industry, all the 140 cement dump are networked using TDM/TDMA VSATs along with a dedicated hub to provide 24/7 connectivity between the plants and all the 120 Points of cements distribution in order to ensure "track-the-truck" initiative and provide seamless integration. This initiative is the first of its kind in the cement industry in India. The Group is committed to ward the safety and health of employees and the publics. STAGE WISE PROCESS OF CEMENT PRODUCTION MINES: Limestone is taken out from the mines. CRUSHER: This limestone is then sent to the crusher so that it can be crushed into small pieces of uniform sizes. STACKER: Stacker steps the raw material taken out from the mines crushed by the crusher. RECLAIMER: Reclaimed reclaims the crushed limestone after mixing the low grade limestone so that uniform quality of cement can be produced. HOPPERS: There are four hoppers for limestone 3rd & 4th latrite respectively form the reclaimer, the limestone is sent to those hoppers through the belt conveyor. RAW MILL: From these hoppers limestone is sent to the raw mill for grinding purpose. ESP: (Electro Static Precipitators) from the raw mill these grinded dust are sent to ESP so that unwanted gasses can be released in the atmosphere. C.B. SILO : From this dust is sent to silo by air slide or screw conveyor. PREHEATER : From the silo this raw material is passed through the preheating stage where hot gases are coming from the burning of coal in kiln. KILN : From the preheating zone the dust is entered into the kiln where temperature is around 1200-1400 degree Celsius. Here the dust is converted into clinker. CLINKER YARD : After cooling them, this menu material is stored in clinker yard. C.M. HOPPER : From clinker yard, the clinker is transferred to the C.M. HOPPER where some additives like POZZOLONA (fly ash) and GUPSUM are added. CEMENT MILL : From C.M. HOPPER, the clinker along with additives is sent to the cement mill. SILO : From the cement mill, cement is stored in silo. PACKING PLANT : From the cement silo the cement is sent to packing plant for packaging and dispatching.

JAIPRAKASH VENTURES LTD A group company involved in design, engineering & planning and consultancy services for the river valley and hydro projects. The scope of the work includes all activities from concept to commissioning of projects. Unit- I - It was commissioned in 1988 with a capacity of 1.0 million MT. Unit - II. It was commissioned in 1991 with a capacity of 1.5 million MT. JAYPEE REWA PLANT Jaypee Rewa Cement Unit- I was fully engineered by Holtec Engineer's Pvt. Ltd and for Jaypee Rewa Cement Unit- II, the engineering and cosultancy services were provided jointly by Holtec Engineers and Holder bank management and consulting Ltd. Switezerland . The choice of machinery incorporated equipment manufactures of world reputed and the extent of sophistication and modernity incorporated in the cement plant reflect the concern of the management of customers. The JAYPEE REWA plant with two units has a capacity of 3 MTPA and grinding & blending units of 1.6 MTPA are in Uttar Pradesh. JAYPEE BELA PLANT Jaypee Bela Plant of 2.5 million tonne capacity was commissioned in 1996. A blending unit first of its kind in the country, having a capacity of 6 lacs tonnes per annum was set up in Sadva Khurd, Distt. Allahabad (U.P.) in December 2001. A grinding unit with a capacity of one million tonne has already been set up at Tanda, Distt. Faizabad (U.P.) Through optimization measures the total cement production of the JAL would be enhanced to 20 million MT per annum by FY 2010.
