Hopefully, this project will help me to increase my interest and confidence through Additional Mathematics and bring a booster for me to get A+ for my SPM. Breakfast is known as the most important meal of the day for many reasons. One of the main benefits of breakfast for children is enhanced school performance. According to the Food and Action Research Center, a nutritious breakfast helps children in a variety of ways, including academic performance, ability to learn, decreased behavioral problems and lower instances of childhood obesity. When you sleep, your blood sugar level drops. When you get up in the morning, your glucose or blood sugar level is at its lowest point in the day. Glucose is the basic fuel for the brain and central nervous system. A good breakfast will keep you from being tired and irritable by mid-morning. The effects of a skipped breakfast are short attention span, lack of alertness, longer reaction time, low blood sugar, decreased work productivity. Surely, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Take time to eat a large, balanced breakfast. Its a good investment of your time. Once you get into the habit of eating breakfast, you may feel hungry in the morning.

Enhanced Academic Achievements Improvements in learning skills, including the ability to concentrate and focus, have been found in students who eat breakfast. According to Nutrition Explorations, students who ate breakfast before school were more likely to receive better test scores and grades compared to the students who did not have breakfast. They were also less likely to make errors on tests and more likely to comprehend what was learned in the classroom. Using breakfast food as fuel enables students to think more clearly, become more alert for the demands of school and remain energized throughout the day.

Decreased Behavioral Issues Children who eat breakfast may have fewer behavioral problems in the classroom. The Food and Action Research Center says students who do not have breakfast tend to be hyperactive, have behavioral issues and show difficulty getting along with other students. When feeling hungry, your child's energy levels go down and there is a decrease in overall motivation to pay attention in class and focus on what is being taught. Fast breakfast options, such as cereal, waffles or oatmeal, provide your children with nutrients to sustain them through the morning. Lower Absences and Tardiness Children who eat breakfast before school have fewer issues with tardiness and absences, according to Kidspot. Students who skip breakfast are more likely to receive detentions, suspension or have problems with the school or teachers. These issues can cause students to pull away from their peers and become an outsider, leading to behavioral problems. Having lower instances of these problems encourages students to attend school because they feel more connected to others, participate in activities and feel excited to learn. Healthier Lifestyle Feeding your children breakfast provides nutrients necessary for their development. It also encourages healthier choices during other meals. A healthy breakfast assists in decreasing body mass index levels, which helps maintain healthy weight. Making breakfast part of a daily routine provides your children with healthy notions of taking care of their bodies, establishing positive self-images and being confident with themselves and in school.

She holds a degree in Nutritional Medicine and is registered with all of the leading professional bodies. Breakfast should be assembled as simple as possible but they must have the varieties and scrumptious taste to attain the interest, ranging from kindergarten students to high school students. The breakfast suggested contains the essential nutrients such as fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. It helps the students to have a better sight for their eyes, own a healthy bones structure, produces red blood cells, act as antioxidant, as it combines easily with unstable metabolic products and they are important in blood clotting. The meal also contains fibre which help prevents constipation. Wheat, dairy products, milk and eggs contain vitamin B2 also known as (riboflavin) which is the component of coenzymes in energy metabolism. It also helps for a healthy nervous system.

ii) Suitable breakfast before attending a sport training If you exercise in the morning, get up early enough to eat breakfast that may mean one to two hours before your workout. Most of the energy you got from dinner the previous night is used up by morning, and your blood sugar may be low. If you don't eat, you may feel sluggish or lightheaded when you exercise. If you plan to exercise within an hour after breakfast, eat a lighter breakfast or drink something to raise your blood sugar, such as a sports drink. Emphasize carbohydrates for maximum energy. Good breakfast options include:

Whole-grain cereals or bread Low-fat milk Fruit Juice Bananas Snacks eaten soon before exercise probably won't give you added energy, but they can help keep up your blood sugar and prevent distracting hunger pangs. Good snack options include:

Energy bars or drinks Yogurt Fruit smoothies Whole-grain bagel or crackers with peanut butter Granola bars These meals mostly are easily prepared breakfast. Eating too much before you exercise can leave you feeling sluggish, or worse, with a case of diarrhea or stomach cramps. Eating too little may not give you the energy to keep you feeling strong throughout your workout. For heavy meals such as fried rice or string cheese rolled in a whole wheat tortilla, they must be taken 3-4 hours before attending the sports training. Food which is rich in carbohydrates and fibres such as a wholemeal bread will full fill up your empty stomach and helps keeping you energetic during the day. Milk is essential and necessary for stronger bones structures. Fruit juice such as orange juice highly contains Vitamin C which helps in maintenance of cartilage, bone, dentin and healthy blood vessels. With this the student will be able to attain a healthier and more enthusiastic during performing his or her sports training.









Ways To Encourage Breakfast Consumption Among Students In The School

Schools may choose to adopt the School Breakfast Program under the United States Department of Agriculture, which sells breakfast to all students, but depending on household income it may be offered at a reduced-price or free.

iii) Health talks in the school to create self-awareness among the students about the importance of breakfast The National Dairy Council and its affiliated dairy councils strongly support breakfast promotion and in particular, emphasize alternative service methods for school breakfast. Their Childhood Nutrition & Fitness Initiatives aim to improve the health and wellness of our nations youth and one means of doing so is by promoting a healthy breakfast. The motivation gives talk to students about the importance of breakfast , the benefit of breakfast and more about breakfast . Hence , students may know a lot about important of breakfast .
