3 Add the piece of text from Appendix 1 into a new paragraph after the bullet
list.
4 Some of the text may contain errors. Use a suitable tool to check for errors
and correct any which are found.
5 The Secretary of the golf club checks the original document and discovers
that the wrong golf club has been mentioned in the article. Instead of
Hasilton it should have been Burkwood.
Name the feature which can be used to change all the occurrences of
“Hasilton” to “Burkwood” in one operation.
Name of feature:
Now use this feature to make the change and then save the new version.
Give the file an appropriate file name.
6 Create a new spreadsheet document and enter the tournament results as shown
in Appendix 2.
7 You will need to use a formula to calculate the “net score” for each player.
Write down the formula you intend you use for Peter’s net score.
8 There is a feature of the package which will use the formula for Peter’s net
score and will insert the correct formulae for the other players automatically.
9 You will now have to use a formula containing a function which will calculate
the average score for the first team. This function will give the average of
Peter, Harry and Jane’s net scores.
Enter the formula into the document and check that it works correctly.
10 Enter the formulae for the other teams so that the average for each team is
displayed in line with each captain’s name.
12 Save the file and get a hard copy of both the document and the formulae used in
the document. Label the hard copies and store them in a safe place.
13 You will have to search the Internet to find a suitable graphic which will be
used with the text about the day’s events.
The graphic may be a picture, drawing or cartoon. (This is to be used on page 2
of your presentation.)
Once you have found a suitable graphic, download it to your work area and save
it with a suitable file name.
15 Transfer the picture from the camera into a computer and save the image to
your work area using a suitable file name.
16 Note the file type of the graphic and its size below.
Type of file:
20 Save your presentation file and note the name of the file below.
21 Print your pages. Staple them together and store them in a safe place.
The following section of text will be loaded from disk. Your teacher will tell you where to
find the file.
The annual Junior Hasilton Golf Week for 2005, which was held during the second
week of August, proved to be very popular with our junior members. The event was
first introduced in the Hasilton golf club three years ago with the aim of encouraging
juniors to take a more active role in the social life of the club and provide a chance for
new members to meet and make new friends.
Hole in one!
Spectators were stunned during the “nearest the hole” competition which was held on
the fourth hole (par 3), when junior player Mark Crawford played a nine iron shot from
the tee which landed on the green, ran three feet and dropped into the hole! Seniors
looked on in envy as many have never achieved a hole in one despite having played for
30 years.

The first person named in each team is the team captain. For example, Peter is the captain for
team 1.
The team average is the average of the net scores of the three players in the team. This
should be displayed in the same row as the team captain’s name.
