Alcatel 3600 MainStreet

Multiservice Bandwidth Manager | Release 9.0

The Alcatel MainStreet access portfolio is feature-rich and comprehensive, comprising multiservice access platforms (MAPs), integrated access devices (IADs) and network termination units (NTUs). With over 250,000 nodes deployed worldwide, it is considered the most successful digital overlay platform ever built. The reliability of the Alcatel 3600 MainStreet Multiservice Bandwidth Manager is guaranteed by many features, including redundancy of the power supplies, synchronization (on multishelf), control and interfaces. The Alcatel 3600 MainStreet Multiservice Bandwidth Manager has a eld-proven availability in excess of 99.999 percent. The Alcatel 3600 MainStreet Multiservice Bandwidth Manager is a exible, scalable and intelligent networking node that combines the functions of an integrated voice and data multiplexer, a frame relay and X.25 switch, a low

capacity asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) access node, and intelligent channel bank and a digital cross-connect switch. The Alcatel 3600 MainStreet Multiservice Bandwidth Manager accommodates network evolution and protects investment by providing customers with a means of integrating narrowband legacy services and broadband networks. The product also enables service providers to deploy a standards-based g.SHDSL solution, which leverages their installed base of MainStreet equipment to provide lower cost private line and leased line services and to support migration from traditional T1/E1 to the new SHDSL standard. The Alcatel 3600 MainStreet Multiservice Bandwidth Manager can be used for: > Packet/Cell: ATM, frame relay, voice over frame relay (VoFR), X.25 > TDM: leased line, legacy voice and data, and voice compression
Reliable, fully managed multiservice platform
