International academic exchanges in JWRI

The international exchange of science and technology is promoted with universities and research institutes all over the world, and many foreign researchers visit JWRI every year. The JWRI holds the symposium with oversea university and institute. The Exchanges are performed with 27 universities and research institutes in 2011.

1. Before now, international academic exchange has not been made strongly between JWRI and Southeast Asian Nations. 2. JWRI hopes to make international academic exchanges with universities & institutes in Southeast Asian Nations for promoting Science & Technology of Welding & Joining. 3. Osaka University has established the Bangkok Center for Education and Research (BCER) in Thailand.

1. JWRI will make international academic exchanges with universities & institutes in Southeast Asian Nations . 2. A JWRI office and a guest professor will be put at each university or institute. 3. A Specially Appointed Professor will be put at the BCER as the hub for Southeast Asia. 4. Collaborations will be promoted through the BCER. 5. Researchers will be invited to JWRI for collaborations. 6. Symposium and seminar will be held through the BCER. 7. JWRI will accept foreign students in cooperation with School of Engineering and will support them to study in the IWE course.
