Giving USA's Annual Report detailed that giving by individuals increased by an e stimated 3.9 percent in 2011 to $217.79 billion in contributions; foundations in creased 1.8 percent to $41.67 billion; corporate donations held steady at 5 perc ent and $14.55 billion; and bequests rose 12.2 percent to $24.41 billion. Despit e these increases, many nonprofits are still struggling to find new donors and r e-engage lapsed ones.
