English/The tiger who came to tea story

The lesson is for the grade level KG2, the lesson was taken place in the classroom. The learning
outcome that I was trying to achieve in the lesson was that students will be able to students will be
able to Participate in rich listening activities.
The students were engaged during the story time, they were listening and responding to the story
events. Also responding to my questions. I think the students responded the way that they did because
they liked the story and were interested in what will happen next.
Moreover, during the activity time they were working quietly. But some two students were
misbehaving, so I had to do something, what I did was that I told them if they did not behave they will
not do the activity. That worked for like 5 minutes but after that, they were misbehaving again. So
next time I will change the place of this two students. But most of the students were working actively,
What I was impressed about is that I was with them alone without the teacher. So I think I improved
my classroom management because in the past I was not able to manage the classroom without the
help of my MST.

I think I did well with relating my teaching with the students’ prior understanding, I prepared math
activity about ordering numbers which were their previous math lesson, and the activity was
connecting the dots from 1 to 30 to complete the tiger picture.

If I would explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective, I would say that they
really enjoyed the story and activities, I realized that from the student’s reactions after I finished the
story, some of the students were saying I want more!
I believe that my lesson has met my teaching.
