WATER REFLECTION

1) Duplicate Layer (Rename: “Layer 1”)


2) Go to “Image”, then “Canvas Size”
a) Set it to “Percent”
b) Check “Relative”
Height = 100
Weight = 0
Click “Anchor Up”
3) Go to “Edit”, then “Transform”, click “Flip Vertical”
4) Drag down image
5) Add Layer (Rename: Water Reflection)
6) Choose “Paint Bucket Tool”, paint the new layer with white
7) When painted, change the color into black
8) Go to “Filter”, then “Sketch” and click “Halftone Pattern”
a) Pattern Type = Line
b) Size = 7
c) Contrast = 50
d) Click “Okay”
9) Go to “Filter”, then “Blur” and click “Gaussian Blur”
a) Set Radius to “4.0”
b) Click “Okay”
10) Go to “Layer”, then “Duplicate Layer”
a) Rename: “Water Reflection 1”
b) Set document as “New”
c) Click “Okay”
11) Go to “File”, then click “Save As”
a) Rename: Water Reflection 1
b) Save as PSD file
12) Delete the “Water Reflection” TAB and “Water Reflection” LAYER
13) Merge the two layers by clicking SHIFT + CTRL + ALT + E
* New layer should be seen
14) Go to “Filter”, then “Distort” and click “Displace”
a) Horizontal Scale: 4
Vertical Scale: 0
Displacement Map: Stretch To Fit
Undefined Areas: Repeat Edge Pixels
b) Click “Ok”
c) Find the PSD file you saved earlier
d) Click “Open”
15) Right-Click Layer 1’s Thumbnail (Picture itself)
* It should have pixels around the inverted picture
16) Click “Layer 2”, then click “Add Layer Mask”
17) Click “Layer Mask Thumbnail”,
18) Go to “Layer”, then “New Adjustment Layer” and click “Hue/Saturation”
• Check “Use Previous Layer to Create Clipping Mask”, click “Okay” then set the colors right.
19) Save the document as JPEG (Pwede rin naman save muna kayo PSD file then JPEG after)
