    Power steering pump is not designed to
    be serviced. In case of a customer
    complaint, determine the cause via the
    pressure test and leak test, as well as
    troubleshooting, suspension no. 16 . If
    there is a malfunction, replace the vane
    pump.

    Note :

    „ Replacement pumps from the distribution center do


    not contain any fluid. Before installing, fill pump with
    hydraulic oil G 002 000 and turn pump by hand.
    Otherwise, the pump may be noisy when operating
    or may even be damaged.

    „ Oil type: Hydraulic fluid G 002 000

    „ Oil capacity in system: 0.7 0.9 l

    „ Do not reuse fluid you have drained.

    „ Always replace seals.

    - Tension V-belt by turning tension bolt using torque


    wrench - A - ( Torque Wrech VAG1410 and V.A.G
    1410/2 ).

    Specified value:

    „ Run-in V-belt, 4 Nm

    „ New V-belt, 7 Nm

    - Tighten clamp screw - 3 - of tension bolt to 25 Nm.

    - Tighten hex bolt - 1 - to 45 Nm.

    - Tighten hex bolt - 2 - and nut - 4 - to 25 Nm.

    „ Nut - 4 - installed on gasoline engines only.
