SUMMARY STATEMENT

This initiative, if passed, ill ma6e it laful under )istrict of *olumia la for a person 21 years of age or older to

possess up to to ounces of mari%uana for personal use7

•

gro no more than six cannais plants ith 8 or feer eing mature, floering plants, ithin the person9s principal residence7

•

transfer ithout payment .ut not sell/ up to one ounce of mari%uana to another person 21 years of age or older7 and

•

use or sell drug paraphernalia for the use, groing, or processing of mari%uana or cannais'

.a/>usection .a/.1/ is amended to read as follos .a/.1/ Except as authori"ed y this chapter or *hapter 1-B or Title , it is unlaful for any person 6noingly or intentionally to manufacture, distriute, or possess, ith intent to manufacture or distriute, a controlled sustance' 3otithstanding any provision of this chapter to the contrary, it shall e laful, and shall not e an offense under )istrict of *olumia la, for any person tentyone .21/ years of age or older to .$/ #ossess, use, purchase or transport mari%uana eighing to ounces or less7 .B/ Transfer to another person tentyone years of age or older, ithout remuneration, mari%uana eighing one ounce or less7.*/ #ossess, gro, harvest or process, ithin the interior of a house or rental unit that constitutes such person9s principal residence, no more than six cannais plants, ith three or feer eing mature, floering plants, provided that all persons residing ithin a single house or single rental unit may not possess, gro, harvest or process, in the aggregate, more than telve cannais plants, ith six or feer eing mature, floering plants7 .)/ possess ithin such house or rental unit the mari%uana produced y such plants7 #rovided that, nothing in this susection shall ma6e it laful to sell, offer for sale or ma6e availale for sale any mari%uana or cannais plants'( ./The folloing ne paragraphs are added to susection .a/ after paragraph .1/, and the remaining paragraphs are renumered accordingly.2/ The terms controlled sustance9 and controlled sustances,9 as used in this *ode, shall not include
