2015SP-14001-POLS3326-Gov-Pol the Middle East: Midterm Exam
Class, Just a reminder... the Midterm exam will be available at midnight the morning of 3/12 (evening of 3/11), and will be available until midnight the morning of 3/20 (evening of 3/19). The exam is available in the Content sectin of Blackboard Learn. 1. As discussed, students will have 50 minutes to complete the exam. The exam will automatically end at the 50 minute mark. There is only one attempt. 2. The exam includes 10 multiple choice (3 points each), 4 short answer (5 points each), and 2 essay questions (25 points each). 3. The three possible essay questions are available in the Content section of Blackboard Learn. As metioned in class, each student will be required to answer 2 of the 3 possible essay questions. It is highly recommended (almost required) that students have these essays completed in advance of beginning the exam. Once the exam has begun, students should simply cut and paste the already completed exams into the field of the corresponding question. There is simply not enough time to write the essays during the exam. 4. We will still meet on Thursday 3/12 to continue our discussion of the Rentier State. 5. I've just very recently come across a rough draft of Senator Cotton's letter to the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I believe it can be useful for our understanding of what is really happening here. Please find it attached. 6. Please contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns. best, Prof. Contractor
