Dear Sir/MadamI am VERY concerned about the erosion of morals on television shows these days. I was not impressed with the"entertainer" who flashed the vulgar sign during her act at half-time. I was further dismayed that a candy company woulddecide that it was appropriate to make an ad where their candy characters are portrayed as stripping and dancing in asuggestive way There were children watching that game and, thus, exposed to the ads that went with it.
We need sensors
like we had back a few decades ago. My son is 21. When he was younger, we had to be constantly vigilant about what cameacross the television when he was around because there is no real protection from vulgarity. Two and a half men, 30 Rockand many others seem to press up against the boundary a little harder each week. For those who say that the child will hear
those things at school anyway my comment is - what is said in school is not being piped into our homes. When it comes in
on the television screen, it is like it has been approved by the parents. I have NOT approved that filth and I don't appreciatehaving to be wary of an attack of it at any moment when I watch TV. I hope to some day have grandchildren and I wouldlike to have some TV which is still decent for them to watch.Thank you,
