, Willkommen - A very warm welcome to Fairfield School. FairfieldSchool,whichwasestablishedin1963,isamedium-sizedurbanschool,situatedinthenorth-east corner of Levin. We are a full primary, decile 3 school with an approximate roll of 430 students. TheFairfieldcommunityisaculturallyrichanddiversecommunity,whichallowsourchildrentheopportunity toengagewith,andunderstandawidevarietyofculturalbackgrounds.Ourcurrentdemographyis:62%New ZealandEuropean,18%NewZealandM

ori,7%Asian,9%Pasifika,1%MiddleEastern/LatinAmerican/African and4%Other.Atourschool,weaimtocelebratetheculturalrichnessofourschoolinavarietyofways,to empower our students and to build their pride and mana of their culture. Fairfieldhasaproudhistoryofprovidingqualitylearningandteachingprogrammesandseekingthebest opportunitiesforourlearners.Wehavealarge,dedicatedstaff,whoallcontributetothelearningexperiences ofourchildren.Staffworkincollaborationtoensurequalitylearningprogrammesthatarefoundedonsound pedagogy and effective practice. Asaschool,weseektoinvolveourcommunitythrougharangeofdifferenteventsandopportunities.A highlightoftheschoolcalendaristheFairfieldGala,whichisanincrediblywellpatronisedcommunityevent. Familyandwhanauarealsoinvolvedthroughsportingopportunities,learningandteachingprogrammes, culturalexperiencesandinformalevents.FairfieldSchoolenjoysaveryactiveFairfieldCommunityGroup, who are the primary fundraising source for the school. Weknowthatastronghome/schoolpartnershipandrelationshipbestsupportsourchildrenandwewelcome parents helping in our school.
