As I have said bere that decision was no ejection of the values e share as llow uropeans Nor was it an attept to do harm to the European Union or any of the reaining eber states On the contrary the United Kingdo ants the uropean Union to succeed and prosper nstead the rerendu was a vote to restore as we see it our national sel-deterination We are leaving the European Union but e are not leaving Europe and e ant to reain comitted paners and allies to our iends across the continent Earlier this onth the United Kingdom Parliaent conred the result of the rerendu by voting with cear and convincing aorities in both of its Houses r the uropean Union (Notication of Withdrawa) Bi The Bill was passed by Parliament on 13 March and it received Royal Assent o Her Maesty The Queen and becae an Act of Parliament on 16 March Today therere  a riting to give eect to the deocratic decision of the people of the nited Kingdo I hereby notify the uropean Counci in accordance with Arice 50(2) of the Treaty on uropean nion of the nited Kingdo's intention to withdraw om the European Union n addition in accordance with the same Arice 50(2 as appied b Aicle 106a of the Treaty stablishing the uropean Atoic Energy Counit  hereby notif the uropean Council of the United Kingdos intention to withdraw om the uropean Atomic Energy Counity Rerences in this letter to the European nion should therere be taken to include a rerence to the Euopean Atomic negy Counity
