Because of information publicly available (referenced above), this letter requests an expeditious explanation. The referenced comments attributed to you by the press are more than marginally offensive to the concept of constitutionally ordered government. 2.
Consequently, I must ask, do the quotes referenced above, accurately reflect your actual comments in context? If these quotes are not accurate or in context, please forward the correct wording and context. 3.
As Governor Lee has publicly noted: "A district attorney purposefully disregarding current, duly enacted laws by the legislature is a grave matter that threatens our justice system and has serious consequences." Additionally, such is of crucial concern to my committee. 4.
Therefore, I respectfully request you to address the questions forwarded herewith, as soon as possible. Additionally, please immediately advise me of an estimated date for your complete reply.
