Smart Board How-
To’s
 -Embed a picture in a notebook file
 
Drag your picture from your photogallery/iPhoto to your notebook page. You can resize your photo on thenotebook page.
-Embed a Flip cam/YouTube video
 
Drag your picture from your photogallery/iPhoto/Clip art to your notebook page. Resize the picture. With the picture selected, click on the gray arrow in the top right-handcorner. Click link with file on this computer. Click browse to find the
file. BE SURE TO SELECT “LAUNCH BY CLICKING OBJECT”. Then
click OK. Now when you click on the picture, the video will play.
-Embed an Easi-speak voice recording and link to a picture
 
Drag picture in to your notebook page. Resize the picture. With the pictureselected, click on the gray arrow in the top right-hand corner. Click 
sound. Browse for your file. BE SURE TO SELECT”LAUNCH BY  SELECTING OBJECT”. Then click “OK”. Now when you click on your 
 picture, the sound will play.

Use your first day of school pictures. Record answers to the
question “What did you do over the summer?”
 
 
 September 
 
 
 Take a picture of each of the children. Use apple clip art to put 10
apples on top of each child’s head. Record answers to the question“What could you do
 
 with 10 apples on top?” I link this to the Dr.
 Seuss book 10 Apples on Top.October 
 
 
 Take a picture of the children in their Halloween/Fall Follies
costume. Record answers to the question “What is your favoriteHalloween candy…why?” or any Halloween
question of your choosing.November 
 
 
 Take a picture of the children dressed up for your Thanksgiving
Feast. Record answers to the question “Where do you go for  Thanksgiving?” or “What is your favorite food at Thanksgiving?” or “What are you thankful for?”
 December 
 
 
 Take a Christmas picture of your children. Record answers to the
question “What do you want for Christmas?” or “What did Santa bring you for Christmas?” or “Do you have any Christmas traditions…what are they?”
  January 
 
 
 Take a picture of your children wearing New Y 
ear’s hats/tiaras
(they are always available in the Target Dollar Section). Recordanswers to the question
“What did you do on New Year’s Eve?” or “What is your New Year’s Resolution?”
