Daisy Darche SS12 Lookbook

Daisy Darche unveils their much anticipated SS12 collection Exquisite silk print womenswear range available from Liberty of London The wait is finally over.......doyennes of fashion can now get a glimpse of next year’s must-have pieces as established designer Daisy Darche unveils her much anticipated Spring-Summer 2012 collection. The range will be once again available from world famous Liberty of London and is targeted towards women who are led by personal style and design rather than fashion trends. The Daisy Darche SS12 collection is the work of up and coming fashion designer Alex d’Arche and is her sixth season under the Daisy Darche label. Having spent months perfecting the designs each timeless piece is characterised by an astonishing silk print that has been solely designed and produced by Daisy Darche. Made from 100% silk the Daisy Darche SS12 collection feels as luxurious as it looks. The eloquent range includes jackets, tunics, dresses, kaftans, shawls and scarves all of which are available in multiple sizes and prints. Daisy Darche offers not only a striking yet sophisticated look but a versatility that enables each item to be worn differently depending on the social occasion or unique style of the owner. Alex’s designs offer a unique style not found in high street retailers. Taking inspiration from everything from nature and urban city life to aerial photography and floral designs, the Daisy Darche silhouette consists of two main components- colour and print- and this season is no exception. “I was recently in Denmark where I had the pleasure of visiting Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen. The view was incredible and breath-taking; I wanted to capture the atmosphere in my collection,” says Alex d’Arche. “I imagined a fun, yet elegant and sophisticated collection. Using textures from my surroundings, mixing blacks and greys with zesty greens and electric pinks I think I’ve created this mood. The range is for women who want a bit of colour in their lives – something that makes them stand out from the crowd.” Therefore the new collection print highlights include “Castles” with its pink, green and grey palette colouring gothic skylines and warped cobbled streets and “Lines” with its abstract allure of golden tones that shape the figurative linear design with shades of yellow and orange. Daisy Darche prides itself on sourcing materials from within the UK, abiding by its mantra ‘Made in England’. With Alex d’Arche at the forefront of Daisy Darche, she is mentored by her mother who has over 25 years experience in the fashion industry and her father who prints the designs. As well as Liberty of London the Daisy Darche SS12 collection will also be available from its digital flagship store – www.daisydarche.com Praise for the label Stephanie Jones, womenswear buyer at Liberty of London said: “The SS12 Daisy Darche collection offers our customer the combination of beautiful prints and a rich colour palette on sumptuous satin and georgette silks that fall beautifully when on the body. This season I particularly love the ethereal pink and purples of the Livia Knot Dress from the Pre collection, not just for the stunning colours but also the fact that it can be worn in different ways, as with many other styles in the collection. We are already selling the Pre collection and eagerly anticipate the next delivery drop, in particular the Gaudi jacket in the yellow Figure print – the style has been a bestseller for us each season, and we expect this new print to be no exception!” ENDS For Further Information Contact the Daisy Darche press office where interviews with Alex d’Arche and images of the SS12 collection are available on request. daisydarche@fire-pr.com 020 8334 7294 About Daisy Darche Daisy Darche is a London based fashion label led by British born designer Alex d’Arche.
