Low Technology Research to Identify IEDs, Landmines and Wires: Military and Civilian Applications

This collection of papers presents research on the successful application of low technology methods to locate simulated IEDs, landmines, tunnels and tripwires. Simple hand held L-shaped rods are dipole antennas, which point to the objects' location. Methodology is discussed in detail. The results are contrasted to high-technology systems, and the disparity in cost effectiveness calls for sanctioned tests of both.
