NAPOLEONIC HISTORY

A series of illustrated articles covering some of the most interesting aspects of Napoleonic history and the late C18th and early C19th centuries. It includes Sergeant Borgogne's marvellous memoir of the retreat from Russia in 1812; how the British Press lied repeatedly about Napoleon; his marriage to Marie Louise in 1809; the way the weather and climate affected the 1812 campaign; and the awful conditions endured by ordinary Britons while the privilege elite squanderd the country's wealth on unnecessary wars.
