Description

Are product-based businesses the most difficult to launch and scale? There are many reasons why I ask this question. For one thing, product-based businesses have a lot of moving parts to them and higher costs than service-based businesses. You’ve got a lot to think about on top of the actual product you’re selling such as packaging, product photos, shipping, returns and so much more.  So, when Julie Ball first told me about her idea to grow a unique subscription box business, I was a little hesitant and honestly, worried for her. A product-based business is difficult enough, but a subscription box business has even more components to it. However, Julie was able to leverage her corporate background as a digital marketer, her experience working with women entrepreneurs and her own website design and development firm, to make her subscription box business a success.  I love it when someone proves me wrong with their success, and this is exactly what Julie did with her “Sparkle, Hustle, Grow” subscription box business for female entrepreneurs. Inside each box, her subscribers uncover tools, training, and resources to help them grow their business.   Hear how Julie went from ground zero to hero in just two years on this episode of the podcast!  In this episode, we discuss:  Why you need to know your ideal customer and what they want from you  How to make a product-based business a profitable success  How to figure out your churn rate and develop additional streams of revenue  Save $5 on your first monthly order of the ‘Sparkle, Hustle, Grow’ Subscription Box when you enter code BIZCHIX at checkout!  Join the BizChix Community  Connect With Julie Ball  Website  Blog   Facebook  Instagram  Books, Tools or Events Mentioned:  Sparkle, Hustle, Grow’s Work Hard Play Hard Retreat 2019  BizChix Episodes Mentioned:  363: Hit Your Next Goal with a Six Week Sprint  364: Lessons From My First Business  170: Shark Tank Entrepreneur “Behind the Ink” Sherisse Hawkins  164: Sonia Kanner of hipS-sister   Listen to Stacking Your Team    Work with Us:  One Day Mastermind  GrowthChix Accelerator Program  ProfitChix Mastermind  CEOCHIX Mastermind  Strategy Session  Join the BizChix Community  This episode was first published at BizChix.com/365. Subscribe to our sister podcast, Stacking Your Team, on your podcast app or listen at https://bizchix.com/category/team/.
