Description
On August 23rd, 1971, a babysitter picked up 21-month-old Melissa Highsmith from her mother’s apartment in Fort Worth, Texas. The woman, who identified herself as Ruth Johnson, however, never returned with Melissa. The Fort Worth Police and the FBI were never able to obtain a solid lead as to Melissa’s whereabouts and, 48 years later, remain baffled by the case. Melissa’s parents and siblings, who never met their sister, remain hopeful that she’s still alive and will someday be found. If you’re in or around the Fort Worth area, please consider participating in a vigil for Melissa this Friday, August 23rd, 2019 at 7 PM at Jesus is Lord Ministries at 1317 East Seminary Drive. And please join the group HELP FIND MELISSA HIGHSMITH on Facebook to show your support for the family as they attempt to raise awareness:https://www.facebook.com/groups/598442393915496/#WhereIsMelissaHighsmith #FindMelissaHighsmith #FortWorth #FortWorthTX #Texas #TrueCrime #TexasTrueCrime #Unsolved #ColdCase #Abduction #Kidnapping #MissingPerson You can support gone cold podcast – texas true crime by visiting https://www.patreon.com/gonecoldpodcast.
