Introduction
I. by a group of prominent academics, business leaders, professionals and education enthusiasts led by Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin. II. After being accorded permission by the Government under the Private University Act (Act 34) of 1992, East West University was launched in 1996. III. Classes started in September 1996 with 6 faculty members and 20 students in the present campus located at 45, Mohakhali Commercial Area, Dhaka. IV. Today there are over 187 faculty members and approximately 5000 students enrolled through a process of selection.

Uses of computer in this university:

oStudents use computer for making assignment, web browsing, sending data through internet and for preparing presentation report. o oIn science faculty such as EEE, CSE use different software for operating IS. They use computer for making graphics and for developing different softwares. oFinancial sectors of this universities use computer to record amounts that is given by the students. They also record other financial transaction arises from operating university. o oTechnology department of this university uses IS for controlling the server network and running the internet connectivity. o oAdmission department of this university uses computer for recording student ID, transcript of s.s.c and h.s.c and for recording others issues. o oFaculty members of this university use computer for recording students results, attendance, to prepare questions and to show result in the internet.

Limitations of computer system in EWU: In their everyday use of computer they face some problems and limitations. These are discussed in the followings: Students of this university only get one hour computer facility. As a result, student can not operate computer frequently. Some time they fail to finish their work in time. They do not use any antivirus. As a result computer is highly affected by the virus and become slow. 3. Computer users are not expert in operating computer. Many student do not know how to operate computer and how to brows in internet. So they do not get the pro proper utility from computer. Universities computers are very slow. As a result users become board. It also kills users
