SIGNIFICANCE  The knowledge of cancer and thalassemia is most important especially for the childhood. Transfusion is necessary for thalassemia pts . Because these patients are most immunocompromise. and the drugs chemotherapy is most danger for them.

theoretical knowledge among nurses was shown that they did not increase their knowledge after training but their skills did improved.Discussion • It has been previously illustrated that nurses with good theoretical knowledge achieve better performance . In another study. .

 We took same assessment for knowledge and skills of all the nursing staff.Limitation:  We can’t take training classes more as they needed.  We select all the staff equally either they are aid nurse or either they are BScN.  .

Further concepts can be extended to the enhancement of the knowledge and practice. .Strength: • This study serves as the initiative/ baseline research.

.RECOMMENDATION • Our research would done on the assessment and evaluation of all the nurses who were working in care of childhood cancers and thalassemia patients.
