INTRODUCTION
• The Taluk Agricultural Produce Co-operative Marketing Society Ltd., was established in the year 1949 is located at Mysore, Karnataka with a membership of 889. • The products of the society are PDS, Chemical Fertilizers, Pesticides, Insecticides,Agricultural Seeds, Kirloskar Pumpsets.

• The marketing sector is of two tier system. At the state level the Karnataka state cooperative marketing federation is functioning at the Apex institution • Taluk Agricultural Produce Co-operative Marketing societies at the taluk levels are functioning as primaries. • All the taluks in the states are covered by these primary marketing cooperatives.

Objectives:
• Providing all the agricultural inputs to the needy farmers. • To improve the financial position of the society. • Providing godowns or warehouses to members by rent. • Providing marketing facilities to their produce.

Membership types:
A-class: co-operative societies( PACS) B-class: individual members C-class: non- agricultural members D-class: nominal members by the government.

Management of the society Role of president:
• Controls the working of the society. • Conducts the general body meeting and also special meetings whenever required.

Role of secretary:
• Calls for the meeting to all the members of the society and also the other activities. • Note down all the proceedings in the meetings. • Before conducting the meeting the points/ problems or issues that should be discussed in the meeting is discussed by him with the president. • Supervision of the working of the society.

• Marketing activity copra, daily needs, fertilizers, control food(ration), lubricants, tyres, pesticides, implements, seeds etc • Methods of procurement through FCI (control food) APMC yard:- janata bazaar (consumer daily needs)
