Main Image The main image on the contents page attacks the men because of the clothing the

model is wearing and the way she is positioned on the page up with her legs in the air, its the first thing people would be attracted to. The females shoe colour matches with the colour scheme of the contents page which makes the image connect to the page. Date and information At the bottom of the page in a small text is the name of the director of the magazine and the date of the magazine for if people want to keep track because they collect the magazine. The V disguised in the background is to represents the name of the magazine: Vibe. This portrays that the V is always there, reminding you what you are reading.

Text The break up of the letters in the contents page brings the attention to the way that is it set out. The colour of the Contents text links in with colour of the background, the whiteness makes it stand out against the black and the grey. The subheadings of the whats going to be in the contents page stand out because they are in a different style of text. In the Subheadings they have the key words that are going to attract the audiences to each section and make them want to read that section. Subheading The subheadings on which sections are going to be in the magazine are a different font to the other fonts on the magazine because this part of the contents page needs to stand out so the audience actually take not and read it. It is also separates the text so its doesnt look like the text is all in one big chunk, it makes it look more appealing.

The font of the titles is very attractive, and almost alluring, mirroring the image below it, catching both female and male readers attention as it looks both attractive and fashionable.

Masterhead The masterhead on the top of the contents page isnt your normal contents page it has it owns twist to it, it relates the title of the page to the magazine itself. It goes with the colour scheme and of the writing on the left hand side and the white background with the black boxes so you can see the white text. Cover Model The main cover picture isnt in the middle page, but it still has an effect as the it has a little article below it telling you who is in the picture and what its to do with, I think that this is effective because it doesnt just tell you what page it is going to be on it also gives you sneak peak about what the article is going to be about.

Competition The competition at the bottom of the page brings the audience to read it and enter it as it says the winning prize in capital bold yellow letters because that is everyone's dream if they are a huge fan of this certain magazine then they would want to get money off so they can offer the next few magazine without spending any of their money and then they can enjoy it on something else that they enjoy. Tagline The tagline at the bottom of the page The uk No1 gig guide starts pg 58 brings anyone's attraction because everyone loves going to see their favourite bands live, it will sell the magazine a long way as no one wouldnt want to be interested in this, it something that can appeal to everyone.

Subheadings The main features are on the right, each feature has a subheading but also tells you a little about what its going to be about, gets people more interested in what its going to be about and make them want to actually go and read article. On the left hand side it tells you what other bands are going to be in the magazine but its literally just the names to get people excited and maybe their favourite bands are going to be in their. Its good that it tells you what page things are going to be on because then people can skip out the parts that they are not interested in reading.

Main Image The main image on this contents in slightly above centre. Its in proportion to the rest of the page and unlike other content pages, it doesnt stand out as much. It has writing on it explaining about the story to make you want to read the whole article inside. Colours Scheme There is a general theme running through this contents page of black, red and white. The background is a simple, plain white and the black and red sit on it nicely. The logo, main stories and page numbers are all in red to stand out more. And the rest of the text is written in black apart from the feature titles which are in white with a black background.

The Text The font used on this contents page is very straight forward, one that everyone would recognise. Its simple but standout to the reader. Most of the text is black which is contrasted with the few pieces written in red. The text is laid out very straight apart from in the editors note were the text wraps itself around the editors signature and the image of the editor of the magazine. Masterhead Masthead (title)The logo of the magazine is smaller than THIS WEEK which attracts automatic attention to the main purpose of the page.

The Content The reader is able to see what's inside this music magazine by reading the main titles Features, Live!, Radar, News and Reviews. Under each of these sections are the top stories related to them. The cover is very tightly packed and a lot of Extra Information The main features of the magazine are listed along the right hand side of the pageinformation is provided which makes it and under each title there is a brief summary of what the story is about. There is seem like you get you moneys worth also an editors note which creates the idea that the editor really puts thought in each magazine and its not just the same week in week out, shows he cares about his readers.
