Contents 1 - NME September 2009
The main image is linked to the brief paragraph about a touring special from a few bands and singers who have been interviews by NME magazine. The background for this section is the side of an amp and this shows that NME is a music magazine. This shot is taken at a canted angle to add the effect that NME is alternative and trendy. The bands mentioned in the magazine are listed down the side in red and black against a white background so that they stand out and you can find the band your looking for. The page numbers are coloured in red to make it easier for readers to find the articles they want. The masthead states that this page is the contents page but also keep the NME title so readers know it is still NME they are reading. Underneath the masthead the date of the magazine is typed out as it comes out every week. This helps readers know which issue is which. The subheadings are coloured in black with a white background as they stand out against each other and it tells you what to expect from each article e.g. albums, reviews, main feature bands/singers. The future/past magazines are featured in the corner and advertise subscription and how it can benefit readers as it is cheaper. The information that NME want readers to see is coloured in bright yellow and it draws their attention.
