DGFT or Directorate General of Foreign Trade is a government organization in India responsible for the formulation of EXIM guidelines and principles for Indian importers and Indian exporters of the country.  Before 1991, DGFT was known as the Chief Controller of Imports & Exports (CCI&E).  DGFT is the nodal body formulating the Export Import Policy.

One regional licensing office of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) is set up in Ludhiana.  Regional Sub-Committee on Quality Complaints (RSCQC) set up at Regional Offices of this Directorate shall investigate quality complaints received from foreign buyers. and / or (iii) has brought disrepute to the country.
