Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos

Unearthed during an

archaeological expedition at Giza headed by George Reisner. Almost 5ft. In height and was discovered on January 18, 1910. Dated to have belonged in the 4th dynasty which places during the age between 2548 and 2530 B.C. Royalty descent is very evident. With the headpiece called kilt worn by Menakaure suggests that he is a pharaoh and Khamerenebtys wig which is typical of aristocratic women.

This head once formed part of a

statue of the emperor Augustus (ruled 27 BC-AD 14). The bust itself was taken from a larger than life size statue, and is nicely illustrative of the uses of Roman art in promoting the political agendas of the rich and powerful.
In ancient Roman periods,

Romans use statues or busts as a social publicity or advertisement.
