Evaluation Plan South Edgecombe Middle 6th Grade PLT Why did you do it (Objective): Teacher knowledge and leadership skills are developed and utilized to sustain culture that values collaboration to improve student learning. Increased student engagement/accountability. What did you do? (Strategy):
1. Established the purpose and norms of PLT meetings, focusing meeting time on meeting school goals, objectives, and activates outlined in the school strategic plan.

Activities:

Results
What were the results? Based on observation and survey answers using a likert scale 5 out 5 teachers on the 6th grade team agree that they have established norms and abided by the terms. Based on minutes from PLT meetings, observations, and survey answers using a likert scale 5 out of 5 members of the 6th grade team felt that most meetings (6 out of 8) were focused on student learning. Based on a survey using a likert scale 5 out of 5 teachers felt that they were using/building common assessments that gave them information about individual student performance. 2. Disaggregate data from common assessments and other student data sources and study/analyze the impact of various interventions based on data.

Activities:

Teacher teams build, administer and analyze the results of common assessments and use a variety of data sources to inform, and adjust instruction to meet the individual needs of students.

What do you need to know? 1. Do teachers utilize the results of data disaggregation and discussions to adjust their instruction to individual students? 2. Are teachers taking active roles in the management of the PLT?

Results
What were the results? Based on observation/lesson plans 5 out of 5 teachers are using their data to reteach and regroup students according to the area they need remediation/enrichment. Based on observations (8 out of 8 meetings) all teachers are taking an active role in the management of the PLT.
