Function
Conjunctions have two basic functions or "jobs":
Coordinating conjunctions are used to join two
parts of a sentence that are grammatically equal. The two parts may be single words or clauses, for example: - Jack and Jill went up the hill. - The water was warm, but I didn't go swimming.
subordinate dependent clause to a main clause, for example: - I went swimming although it was cold.

Preposition
A preposition is a word which shows relationships among
other words in the sentence. The relationships include direction, place, time, cause, manner and amount. EG : She went to the store, to is a preposition which shows direction. : He came by bus, by is a preposition which shows manner. : They will be here at three o'clock, at is a preposition which shows time : It is under the table, under is a preposition which shows place.

Interjection
An interjection is a word added to a sentence to
convey emotion. They are not grammatically related to any other part of the sentence. An interjection with an exclamation mark. Interjections are uncommon in formal academic prose, except in direct quotations.
