MAKE ROOM FOR THE CAMELS

 We have been talking about transition Non-technical definition is, Im going through hell, but I know God is in here somewhere Technical: Transition is the process of CHANGE

 Change is in the moment. It is an event that happens in time. Forever effects your life. Transition then is how you wrap your heart and mind around it. Examples: MarriageEventTransition SalvationEventTransition PregnancyEventtransition Churchcurators of a museum of fossils

 The key to transition is MAKING ROOM or what we would call preparation. Remember Josephs words to Pharaoh to lay up grain in the good years to PREPARE for coming famine. Your preparation or making room HOUSES your future.

 Many are living too small, with no plan or preparation for the future. For example the Bible talks about a rich man who was so prosperous he needed more barns

 What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops? So he said, I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry. But God said to him, Fool! This night your soul will be required of you Luke 12:17-20

 We are talking about making room. We all have to do it. But the question is not will you make room but for what will you make room. It is easy to crowd God out of our lives. It is easy to let our priorities get turned around But God has an answer for this problem

 CLEAR ENDINGS and NEW BEGINNINGS Hebrew day from creation begins in the evening and goes into the next day. Then God said, Let there be light; and there was light and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Gen.1:3

 God starts with an ending then a new beginning. The question is what is God telling you He is done with in your life? What is He trying to get rid of so you can make room for something new. Many times these things look like annoyances and we even see them as irritations

 This is the year 2013 or 5773 in the Jewish calendar. In Hebrew it is the year Ayin Gimel Literally crossing over The word gimel is where the word CAMEL comes from.

Camels were an interesting beast in the Bible Burden bearing built for a specific reason Could go 3 to 5 days without water. Drink 40 gallons of water and the hump is stored fat that breaks down for moisture

 Genesis 24 Abraham sends his servant to get a wife for his son Isaac This leads to a series of serendipitous events that really changed the course of lives and history.

 I want to tell every one of you this morning that God has much more for you than any of you know. His plan for you is to take you through a serendipitous experience that will bring you gifts and callings to get you over to the other side of life and living.

 See it in this passage as Abrahams servant goes to Abrahams kin to find a bride. This bride is Rebekah Think about her moment Think about her sacrifice Read Gen.24:11-31
