Foreign language proficiency test and foreign language allowances program

Program was first introduced in 2007 Foreign languages in KB context are:
English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese

PURPOSE is to:
Encourage employees to study and improve foreign languages skills Support employees retention and engagement Improve customer services

Foreign language proficiency test

Foreign Language Proficiency Tests are taken twice a year in May and October Tests are given by contracted institutions Employees voluntarily take a test

Successful employees are entitled to allowances

Foreign language allowances

Foreign Language Monthly Allowances in addition to salary a part of compensation packages Allowance amount depends on a proficiency level Front office employees both from rural and urban areas are eligible for allowances Allowances are valid for one year

After three successful consecutive years, no test required for another one more year
