X is a mathematical principle which describes the relationship between the volume and the area as a shape's size increases or decreases. It was first described in 1638 by Galileo Galilei in his "Two New Sciences". This principle states that, 'as a shape grows in size, its volume grows faster than its area'. When applied to the real world this principle has many implications which are important in fields ranging from mechanical engineering to biomechanics. It helps explain phenomena including why large mammals like elephants have a harder time cooling themselves than small ones like mice. Which principle?

Suppose there were an integer between 3 and 4. Integers are either prime or composite. There are only six possible combinations: 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 2x2, 2x3, and 3x3. None of these are between 3 and 4. Therefore, ______ would be prime. To find whether it exists, let us suppose there are no primes between 3 and 4. Let x be the number of these primes: Code: x=0 x(x-1) = 0 x-1 = 0 /multiply both sides by x-1

/divide by x

x = 1 /add 1 1 = 0 /transitive property of equality Since this is a false statement, our assumption must be wrong. Therefore, there exists an integer between 3 and 4. Proof of what in mathematics?
