History Of PONDS

In 1846, the first Pond's product was invented in the United States as a medicine by scientist Theron T. Pond. In 1886, Pond's was relaunched as Pond's Extract. In 1987, PONDS was purchased by Unilever and became known as a Global Master Brand. In 1914, Pond's Cold Cream and Vanishing Cream marked the brand's evolution to a beauty icon.

Such label which has only the brand name of the product is known as Brand Label. There is no other information of the product on the label except its brand name.

2. GRADE LABEL
Grade label highlights the quality or grade of the product.

3. DESCRIPTIVE LABEL
Descriptive label provides complete information regarding the product. Such as:

The compulsory particulars include: The brand name or the name of the manufacturer with registered postal address and telephone no. Any special storage conditions or conditions of use.
