The overarching aim is to develop a systemic approach to mentoring and coaching and. at the same time providing Authority support for sustained improvement in teaching and learning for ‘learners’ in Hartlepool schools. CHILDREN’S SERVICES in Hartlepool Every Child Matters .

It will comprise: • a 24 hour residential for up to 50 delegates. ideally in late Spring or early Summer term. co constructed at the residential and supported by. Strategic CPD: using mentoring and coaching to create an infrastructure for school development and student achievement will be offered initially to the 6 secondary schools. • a one day follow up session after an agreed period of elapsed time.

• These themes will provide a frame of reference for developing systematic CPD strategies known to be linked with improved learning outcomes for adults and young people in schools.• Two themes: Performance Management and CPD Leadership. the new performance management arrangements and the National Framework for Mentoring and Coaching.
