TED is actually an acronym for
Technology, Entertainment, &
Design

Its a non-profit organization focused on
the power of ideas to change attitudes,
lives and ultimately, the world.

The problems that TED addresses affects every issue.

The spread of ideas and knowledge is something people
tend to take for granted, because they dont fully realize
its importance to the world.
World Issues like people in third world countries dying from
a curable disease.
Studies have shown that education of a population affects:
Mortality Rate
Economy
Disease



TED hosts live conferences bringing together the worlds
leading thinkers to share what they do and what they know.
TED Conference: The flagship TED conference is held
annually in Vancouver, British Columbia, and covers every
field of study as well as the global issues facing our world.



TED.com: TED.com is their main website for hosting, and
translating TED Talks, as well as sharing ideas.

TED Talks: TED Talks are videos that present a great idea in 18
minutes or less and are filmed at TED conferences.

TED OTP: The Open Translation Project is a global volunteer effort
to subtitle TED Talks. To date, over 15,000 volunteers have created
more than 50,000 translations in 104 languages.
TEDx: TEDx program supports individuals, organizations and
communities worldwide hold local, independent TED-like events in
their own community. To date, more than 9000 TEDx events have been
held in 150 countries.
The TED Prize: The TED Prize is awarded annually to an
exceptional individual with a fresh, bold vision for sparking global

online. TEDx allows people around the world with more
underprivileged backgrounds, an opportunity to have their ideas be
heard.

Collaboration: Through the TED, brilliant minds are given the
opportunity to exchange and engage with ideas and each other,
which can be used to make a great contribution to the world. To
help the global community connect, TED.com has allowed people to
have conversations and plan meetings, with people across the globe.

TED helps to push us towards the future.
inspires world class thinkers and innovators to show what they
know and what they have to offer to the world.
These ideas can grow in the minds of others and develop into
