SOCIAL MODEL

Social Model
Students may
experience the give
and take in group
investigation.
Relationships between
people in
interdependent learning
communities.
There are 2 main models in Social Family:

Cooperative Learning (Partners in Learning)
Teacher organizes students into groups where each
child has a specific job
Each student has a responsibility for the success of
the whole group

Role Playing
Students are chosen to participate in certain roles in
a situation.
The main goal is the development of empathy in
participating students for someone elses view.
Social Model in Guess What game
Democratic behaviour students can learn and
do more when working together.
e.g:
i)In this game, students can cooperate among
themselves to solve the problem given. They can
do more when they divide their work each
student has a specific job to do in group.
ii) They can decide who will be the players that
will give the hints and who will be the person to
guess the pictures given.
Cooperative Learning
- Each student has a responsibility for the success of
the whole group
e.g:
i) In this game, students are divided into few groups
where they will work together in group to play the
game.
ii) Each students will do their specific job for the
success of their groups. For example, the student who
will guess the picture will try to listen carefully to
their teammates explanation when giving hints and
the students who giving the hints will try the best in
giving the best hints that they could. These roles to
ensure that they can finish the task given successfully.

Social Learning
The students interact with each other to
accomplish the work. The imitation process
occurred.
E.g:
- In this game, students will interact among them to
guess the pictures given. A few students will
watch the pictures given and then, they will
imitate the things that are in the picture to give
hints to their teammates to guess what exactly are
in the pictures. This is called the symbolic
modelling or visual modelling because students
imitate using the pictures given.

Advertisements/TV commercials and the
cartoons or people that we watch on
television are the most common examples of
Social Learning Theory.
This is because we tend to imitate what they
are doing and their characters by observing
them when watching them on television.
Therefore, that is why we chose the characters
that are famous on the television so that the
students can imitate them and make this
game become more interesting and enjoyable.
Implications of Social Model
Learning by observation (models): students
learn simply by observing other people.
Teachers and parents must model appropriate
behaviors and take care that they dont model
inappropriate ones.
Interaction among the students in group.
Students can learn more and do more.
