1) Represent UTM at SKUM Committee (PATRON:
DPM)
2)Coordination of activities with UNESCO, World
Assembly of Youth etc.
3) Liaison between UNESCO Club, UTM International
and Department of Student Affairs (HEMA).
4) Engagement of local and international students in
UNESCO activities and events.

EMBASSY RELATIONS

Aim:

Developing and improving relations with the
diplomatic, educational and trade
representatives of Embassies, High Commissions
and Consulates from several target countries
where UTM has a strategic interest.


EMBASSY RELATIONS

Objectives

1) consolidating existing relationships with
those Embassies, High Commissions and
Consulates where UTM has already established
important contacts and organised activities and
events.

2) Maintaining and/or developing active relationships
with embassies where UTM has students, staff, existing
MoU/MoAs with foreign universities etc.

3) Identifying and developing new strategic partners
where UTM has an interest in growing student and or
staff numbers, collaboration with educational and
other institutions for academic and/or research
purposes etc.

4) Facilitating engagement between embassies,
high commissions and consulates with
celebrations of national days for students and
staff at UTM.

UTM Faculties, Research Alliances and Centres

Government Relations
Objectives
1) To continue to develop relations with Ministries and
Government departments that are relevant to UTM
International ie. Ministry of Education (Higher Education),
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Domestic Affairs
(Immigration) etc.
2) To conduct regular meetings with relevant officers to discuss
any up-dates/new regulations concerning bi-lateral
agreements, immigration, opportunities for scholarships
from various countries, student/staff mobility, work permits
for international staff, VDR, health alerts etc.

Government Relations
3) To receive first-hand information on
international activities, events and visits
involving Malaysian government ministers or
visiting foreign heads of state/leaders etc.
4) To promote UTM International activities and
events to relevant Ministries and Government
departments.

International Student Mobility in UTM
1. Global Outreach
Programme (GOP) is
a 7 to 14 days academic based
programme to experience various
cultures in other countries. It
includes immersion elements such
as research & academic activities,
social responsibility, cross cultural
activities and international event
participation.

2. Summer
School Students
register any courses offered
by host institutions during
summer holiday
5. International Invitation
Program students participating in
programmes organized by international
institutions/ organisations with the
following themes:
i) Academic Programme: Seminar,
Conference, Paper presentation,
student project competition.
ii) Cultural: Cultural Exhibition and
Conference, Historical and Cultural
Tour
iii) Student Development Activity:
Seminar and Courses,
