1. Teach GOOD ENGLISH
2. Knowing the English Language Marking Scheme
is a bonus to AID you in teaching GOOD
ENGLISH and not to teach ENGLISH FOR EXAMS
TIPS FOR GOOD TEACHING
 Very Important!
 Pupils should:
 NEVER shade two answers for the same question. No marks will be
given even if one of the chosen answers is the correct answer!
 Erase an answer to be changed carefully so as not to be detected as
having two answers to the same question.

 Tips For Pupils
 Pupils should have a basic command of the English language.
 Basic grammar *
 A minimum range of vocabulary**
 Use the correct use of subject-verb agreements.
 Spell words correctly.
 Keep a ‘V-Bank’ exercise book to write down good tips, new / difficult
words, interesting phrases and sentences.
 Have a simple English grammar reference book
