2. ELECTRICAL TESTS. (To B.S. 171 )
The following tests shall be undertaken and the results should be compared with
either the Manufacturers works tests or any previous relevant test results.
(a). Insulation Resistance test
(b). Winding Resistance Measurement
(c). Ratio & Vector group test
(d). Open Circuit test. (Magnetisation & Iron Losses)
(e). Short Circuit test. (Copper Losses)
(f). H.V. & L.V. winding Pressure test

TESTS. :- NOTE :- Electrical testing must not begin until at least 3 hours after filling with coolant to allow trapped air to escape.(b) WINDING RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT When making resistance measurements on one winding. (Include Asset / Plant Nos. 1550 Page 2 of 6 Revision 2 TRANSFORMER SER. High Voltage winding to Low Voltage winding & Earth :- Volt Megger M (ii).
