The Way of the Lord

Then the angel who talked with me answered and

said to me, Do you not know what these are?
And I said, No, my lord. So he answered and
said to me: This is the word of the Lord to
Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power,
but by My Spirit, Says the Lord of hosts.
Who are you, O great mountain? Before
Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he
shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of
Grace, grace to it! Zechariah 4:5-7

Witness of the Spirit

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit
that we are children of God. Romans 8:16
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that
which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6
Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be
born again. John 3:7
Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly,
I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God. John 3:3
Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of
the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

When God Looks at Sin

Then the Lord said to Cain, "Why
are you angry? Why is your face
downcast? 7 If you do what is right,
will you not be accepted? But if you
do not do what is right, sin is
crouching at your door; it desires to
have you, but you must rule over
it." Genesis 4:6-7

Background Story
In the course of time Cain brought
some of the fruits of the soil as an
offering to the Lord. 4 And Abel also
brought an offeringfat portions from
some of the firstborn of his flock. The
Lord looked with favor on Abel and his
offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering
he did not look with favor. So Cain was
very angry, and his face was
downcast. Genesis 4:3-5

The Way Jesus Sees

He replied, Every plant that my

heavenly Father has not planted will be
pulled up by the roots. 14 Leave them;
they are blind guides. If the blind lead
the blind, both will fall into a pit.

13

Every plant that my heavenly Father has not

planted will be pulled up by the roots.

1. Jesus has a way of seeing what is from

God and
what is not from God.
2. His way of seeing is beyond the fruits,
but way
down to the roots.
3. He sees from the manifest presence
way down
to the unseen presence.
4. The seen presence is the tangible side,
the
unseen presence is the
intangible (spiritual) side
of it.
5. Every planting process begins with

Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind

man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit
1.

There is a blind way of seeing things.

2.

The blind way is destined to perish.

3.

For us to see what Jesus sees, we need to be like Him,

seeing what the Father does.

4.

What Jesus sees is heavenly or from above. What the blind

sees is not from heaven or from belowthe veiled view. See
Isa. 25:7

5.

There is no equality between the view from heaven and the

view from below.

6.

The view from heaven is Jesus' standard, the view from

below is sub-standard (blind mans view = dead mans
view).

7.

Jesus submits to the view from above. At the same time He

is judgmental to the view from below.

it desires to have you Genesis 4:7
When the woman saw that the fruit of
the tree was good for food and pleasing
to the eye, and also desirable for
gaining wisdom, she took some and ate
it. She also gave some to her husband,
who was with her, and he ate it.

pleasing is desirable to our senses and
feelings.
