Parameter check

One cell with one unique PTPBVC must be guaranteed:

We need check PTPBVC number and Cell number, it must be same
We can also using MML command: List PTPBVC

Idle timeslot For the S222 configuration, site should be enough idle
timeslot except the cascaded site, so we suggest that all sites set the
idle timeslot as 24

PS Cell status

We must ensure that all cell GPRS services is normal, we can check it in
MML:
MML Command: DSP PSCELL: IDXTYPE=BYBSC;

Cell Working State: should be on working, otherwise may the cell cant
get DSP resource
Cell Um Admin State: should be unblocked, if both Um and Gb
blocked ,may site down
Cell Gb Admin State: should be unblocked, if its blocked and Cell Um is
Unblocked, maybe no BVC configured I this cell

Drive Test prepare

When DT team reach cluster and start DT, first they
should check following:
MS side: Settings -> connectivity -> Network Access Point ->
Access point name should be :xxx(Aircel APN)
Laptop: Fire wall should be turn off, all the program which may
using internet services should be shut down.
Battery should be well charged for both MS and laptop.
In Probe, View -> Information -> Ftp info ,see what happened
If New FTP available under this cluster, first using the new FTP
server.
In Probe, Test plan -> FTP download , we should guarantee
that user, password ,and file name is correct, Dont change other
setting in the ftp download page.

If attach failed, and the reason is GPRS service not allowed, normally,
its SIM without GPRS right
If services not allowed in this PLMN, normally, SIM card no money

If failed, pl check the cause:
If the cause is requested service option not subscribed,
which mean that APN access rejected by HLR, pl contact
RCOM for open the APN of RCOMNET

If other cause, pl contact BSS / SGSN guy solve it, normally

4 Still almost zero download speed?

If you find PROBE continues PDP active and then PDP deactivate
for about every 30 seconds, normally its mean ftp server is not
available. We should carefully check in Test plan, all setting is OK or
not?
- Port, User, password, ftp download file name
Then, we can using the MS as modern, check first ping the ftp
address is OK?
- If not OK, try another FTP server; If OK, carefully check test
plan again! If still no problem ,try to visit internet webpage, if OK,
then you can using the internet FTP server.

low , we first check its 8PSK_MEAN_BEP, it should be approximately match.
( Otherwise some other problem may come )

Not enough resource
Normally, short of Idle timeslot / PDCH will greatly affect the speed:
FTP download , normally we should get 4 timeslot for download, if the average value
less than 3, we will not get high speed
No idle timeslot: It will also make low speed:
One scene: 8PSK_MEAN_BEP continually keep good (1F) and MCS scheme is only
6, may no enough idle timeslot for bidding.

Ftp server limit the speed
If the ftp server is very slow, even the C/I is very good, we will get low
speed. Normally, if Um is good and high layer limit the speed, Dummy
block will come in downlink. (dummy block using CS-1)
So, if we see PDCH channel with high CS -1 code rate , normally its ftp
server problem.
