PROJECT CONCEPT DEFINITION STATEMENT

In Covenant University, most students have problem

with feeding, not because there is no money but due
to the problem of standing on a long and neverending line waiting to be served in the cafeteria.
This

could be caused by students who do not have the

patience to wait till their turn, so they jump the queue,
causing the never ending line.

Secondly,

due to fact that most times, the food the students

want is either finished or not prepared, after experiencing
this more than once, they could decide not to waste their
time going to the cafeteria and settle for Indomie or the
popular Garri flakes.

EVIDENCE OF PROBLEM

Research has shown that most students who breakdown and are
sent to the Health Centre breakdown because of lack of nutrient in
their systems which could be related to the constant Indomie and
Garri flakes intake.
Research and studies have shown that students who have nothing
in their stomachs have problems recalling what they have read
when given an exam or test. This is the reason why most Covenant
University students fail mathematics and other courses that
require critical thinking.
There is no specific measure for the food served; the difference
between the quantity of food that can be bought with N250 and
N200 is dependent on the time and number of customers, i.e. if
you come when the cafeteria is not crowded, with N200 ticket you
could get food worth N250, but peradventure youre in the
cafeteria when it crowded, the quantity is reduced due to the fact
that the waiters want to serve everybody in time and go and rest .

EFFECT ON COVENANT
UNIVERSITY

If this problem is not resolved it will cause a lot of

harm and lead to an increase in crime rate, i.e.

Students who are often being disappointed by the

challenge posed to them in the cafeteria would
have no choice but to bring raw food items (rice,
spaghetti, crayfish etc.) to school to prepare
meals themselves, thereby raising new generation
of cooks, and not leaders, who cook with kettle
and violate residency policy.
This could also lead to fire outbreaks if kettles are
left on.

OUTCOME OF SOLUTION

We propose an e-Feeding project.

The e-Feeding project is a portal which would be linked to the
e-payment website of covenant university, where the amount
of money an average student would spend on feeding in a
month would be added to the students school fees and then
uploaded to the e-Feeding portal.
It also has to do with the provision of food-dispensing machine
on each wing, that dispenses packed food basically; Solid with
vegetable soup and mixed rice with beef.
The e-feeding portal would have a list of available food in the
cafeteria everyday.
This

will reduce the constant rate of breakdown,

theft that arises from students who steal provision(milk, sugar
,e.t.c)
It reduces theft of money because students do not have withdraw a
lot money that covers feeding,books,clothes,e.t.c

FUTURE OF COVENANT WITH EFEEDING

The e-feeding portal helps ensure that kings

and Queens have food with nutrient in time
after a very stressful day.
It saves time; because with it students do not
have waste their time going to cafeteria to
be disappointed.
All you need to use the food dispensing
machine is the e-tranzact dispensing
machine is registered finger print gotten
from the biometrics or password which will
be given to you on your portal.
