PROJECT SCORPIO

BY GROUP 27

1. The film

The film is called PROGECT SCORPIO

It follows a secret organisation of spies and assassins

based in London

It is called Scorpio as all of the agents have a scorpion

tattoo on their wrist that brings and connects them
together as a group.
The opening sequence follows four of the spies one at a
time, never showing the spies eyes to create the idea of

mystery and identity around them.

They spy will then go up to someone (who the audience will assume
is one of the people in the book) and they will subtly put a small USB
into the targets pocket. For some of the agents, as they walk away
the target may collapse to show that they are dead, the agent will
then take out the small black book, and showing off their tattoos
during the exchange. After that you follow the next spy repeat it but
in a different location, and with different people and situations.
Well cross off one of the names, and hand the book to they next spy

2.What type of title sequence is it?

The 3 types of title sequences, all three are suitable for spy films .
If we chose to usenarrative title sequence, we would need to have the titles on moving
images when the film itself is starting. These titles would tell the audience the genre
and the storyline.
If we wanteddiscrete title sequence, we would need to have the titles on a blank
screen or on moving images, which show the genre and tone, but wouldnt make the
storyline clear.

Since out genre isspy/thriller, we wouldn't want to give away too much
of the story so we choseDISCRETE title sequence. This type would be
perfect as it gives away the mood of the film but it remains mystery
about what the story of it is going to be.

3. What Genre (or sub genre) of Film

is it?
SPY THRILLER

The Skyfall opening is a perfect example of a

stylized film opening as we are able to steal hints of
the
narrative whilst simultaneously being kept out of
the loop. although we are not shown the whole
story line this is compensated by the discrete side
of the opening giving us an insight into the mood of
the film and also establishes the tone and genre of
the film without having to be directly told

4.Representation
The title sequence will both introduce and reference the
characters in the film as the audience is introduced to the
idea of a group of spies who all have scorpion tattoos in
common, Whilst not showing all of the
The opening will show a lot of middle and upper-class as
it will be in a busy London street on a working day.
Meaning that there will be a lot of dark suits and outfits
for the agents to blend in with.
The agents will be seen as middle/ upper-class as the
clothes that they will be wearing will be nice but plain.

7. Mis-en scene Location & setting

This is a dark room

whereby all the violent
scenes of the
film will take place.
This will be shown for
a few
seconds as the titles
appear over it.

The locations that we will use in our film opening

are:
An underground station
Liverpool Street
A dark room
An escalator at a train station
The type of

This will be one of the
locations used in the
film opening.

This will be one of

the locations used
in the film opening

We have chosen
Liverpool street to be
our main location for
our opening. This is a
busy place and it fits
with our
opening which requires
a rushing area.

13.Risk assessment

During our filming process we may face some possible risks so we need to
think about what they may be and have possible solutions to prevent them.
For example:

1. We should be careful by carrying the equipment while walking

so we will make sure that there isn't only one person who
carries everything.

We should make sure the

camera is put properly and
securely on the tripod.

If we are filming outside, we

need to check the weather and
if it's going to rain or have
strong wind, we could rearrange our schedule and find
another possible time.

We should still have

protection for the our
filming equipment in case it
starts raining and we didn't
know.

If we are going to have

another person who we film,
we need to make sure
he/she doesn't damage the
camera due to poor
knowledge of the
equipment.
