What is DC
 The current which flows in only one direction
is called DC current
 Direct current is produced by such sources as
batteries, thermocouples, solar cells, and
commutator-type electric machines.
 The electric charge flows in a constant
direction, distinguishing it from alternating
current (AC). A term formerly used for direct
current was Galvanic current.
What is Generator?
 An electrical generator is a device that
converts mechanical energy to electrical
energy.
 The reverse conversion of electrical energy into
mechanical energy is done by a motor.
 . A generator forces electric charges to move
through an external electrical circuit, but it
does not create electricity or charge, which is
already present in the wire of its windings.
What is DC Generator ?
 DC generator is a machine that’s convert
mechanical energy into electrical energy by
using the principle of magnetic induction.
